He's been mostly brilliant this season. Probably most games we have won , he's stopped a goal or two ...

The question is, when he isn't at his super human best - how good is this villa team ?

Does all the slick play this season , rely on EMI stopping 2 or 3 (or even more) certain goals a game ?

You could say that about Liverpool. Allison would always bail them out in games that they would go in to nick a win.  It was always clear how important he was when Adrian came in.

So do good teams also need good goalkeepers? Yes they do.

Exactly. Sometimes it feels like people expect us to never allow a shot on goal and that every time the other team attacks, it's us being bad rather than the other team being good. The fact is, you need a good keeper if you want to do well in the league and they can win you games.

A true professional. His attitude and professionalism and ambition is everything we've lacked for years as a goalkeeper and presence in the dressing room. What a player and person.
