  1. 5ft10 I think. Mcleish said it in the press that he's grown a lot more this year than he was at the start of the year.
  2. Tomaszk

    Wesley Moraes

Just signed from Brugge apparently. €25m. Out of nowhere.
  3. Stolen from the Brum Mail. Not sure how to do this, a series of polls perhaps? Factoring in price, salaries, performances and my personal opinion of them as players and humans I think I'll end up with: Group A: 1 Lescott (High salary & utterly crap). 2 Bacuna (Delusional and here for 4 years) Group B: 1 McCormack ( Massive fee, massive salary, massive idiot) 2 Sanchez (He wasn't that bad but the only one of those left who cost money) Group C 1 Richards (Ridiculous salary, constantly injured and a gung-ho attitude to defending) 2 N'Zogbia ( High transfer fee, high salary and terrible attitude) Group D 1 Drinkwater (Only a loan signing but still high wages and pathetic performances on the field, also a convicted drunk driver who headbutted a teammate since coming here). 2 Tshibola (Can only imagine Steve Clarke got part of the transfer fee? Baffling signing) On to the knock out stages. Quarterfinals: Lescott beats Sanchez by a mile McCormack beats Bacuna even more clearly Richards pips Tshibola Drinkwater vs N'Zogbia is probably the closest quarterfinal. I went with personal dislike over longevity and money so Drinkwater takes it. Semi Finals: Lescott vs McCormack. It has to be McCormack. Not a single thing about this signing was good, nothing. Richards vs Drinkwater. Ranked 489th last out of 492 players this season on Whoscored with a average of 5.74. Granted in a very small sample size. He should never have been signed. Final: McCormack vs Drinkwater. And the winner is Ross McCormack by a country gate. It's not even close. Guy is a tool and even after being released he is still a poison to the club. Take a bow son Not to be taken too seriously.
  4. Talented young winger made his debut for the u21s tonight at the age of 15 years old, becoming the youngest ever to do so. He made his debut for the u18s last season at 14, I think this player has the potential to be absolutely superb. I think he will make his first team debut next season if he keeps progressing and obviously if we keep of him unlike Daniel Crowley who is now excelling at arsenal
  5. Probably needs its own thread now on his way to Villa for a medical according to sky Hopefully first of a few today
  6. samjp26

    Jed Steer

"He will also add Norwich City goalkeeper Jed Steer, 20, who becomes a free agent on July 1, to a firmament of four including Brad Guzan, Shay Given and Benji Siegrist." "Bringing in Jed will also add to the goalkeeping department and helps with everyone pushing one another, learning from one another and making everyone better and wanting to improve." http://mobile.avfc.co.uk/default.aspx?s=news-display&aid=3220876 Formerly of Norwich City, albeit not making a first team appearance, Jed Steer will reunite with Lambo here at Villa by the looks of it. No official statement on him that I can see, maybe not until July 1st, but they've slipped it into the news story above so I guess its finalized that Jed Steer will be our new number 2 and our 6th signing of the Summer. Welcome I guess!
  7. Probably needs its on thread now as RDM has confirmed his interest in him. Just click it I would imagine this ones happening for him to confirm it. i have to be honest i don't know anything about him, wont take much to be better than our current cm though
  8. Jareth

    Pepe Reina

Reckon this is happening... If so, good, just what we need.
  9. Anyone know much about this lad from our under 17's? Travelling with the first team today. I've not heard of him before.
  10. a-k

    Keinan Davis

Makes the bench today. 17 year old who we signed on professional terms in December. Anyone know anything about him?!
  11. https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/aston-villa-academy-carney-chukwuemeka-17778789
  12. Thoughts? would love this to happen very good player https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aston-villa-transfer-el-ghazi-15054788
  13. Looks set to be our next signing according to numerous news outlets. http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aston-villa-set-complete-third-13345527
  14. This deserves its own thread. So sad to just read the news. Wonderful football, great left foot and was very disappointed when we sold him. Thoughts of with his family and loved ones.
  15. 17 year old Youth Team prospect from Solihull is training with the 1st team.
  16. Reports just now we have agreed a 11m € fee for him. I have absolutely no idea how good or bad he is. Trezeguet developments
  17. More and more reports of him coming to Villa now. He deserves his own thread, seeing as Kalvin Phillips has one and he never signed.
  18. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/07/12/aston-villa-poised-complete-15m-signing-douglas-luiz-manchester/?WT.mc_id=tmg_share_tw Another one out of the blue? A bit worried about that buyback clause though.
  19. Looks like this one will be happening (but we won't see him until next season) https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/defender-having-medical-ahead-5m-15760969
  20. There are quite a few players we think are rubbish, but how about the good ones? Not necessarily Gardwood, Cristiano Ronaldo, Agüero or Messi, just the ones the scout in you would recommend (preferably in lower and foreign leagues). I'll start with Bernardo Silva. He's not big, he's not fast but he is special.
  21. 17 year old attacking midfielder Jacob Ramsey has penned his first professional contract, only says long term on the OS, doesn’t specify how long. He’s a very good footballer, gets a lot of goals from midfield, he’s got a chance
  22. Demitri_C

    Scott Hogan

Surely needs his own thread now as being reported everywhere and on yellow bar on Sunday. I would assume the 10m we are getting from Westwood and ayew deals are what is funding this deal?
  23. A very reliable journalist here - Things could be Marvelous, soon.
