I'm not saying I'm behind Bielsa getting the job but presenting him as a clueless manager at the International level is not true at all.

Danishlad
It seems utter madness to me that Grealish isn’t deemed good enough to start against Scotland. Get him in that midfield!

Popular Post DaveAV1
I’m not sure if anyone else has mentioned it, but Southgate’s use or lack of use of Jack is really just the most obvious fault in a sea of faults. He has selected only two centre forwards, one is hopelessly out of sorts and has been substituted in the last two games. I’m not sure if that has happened to Kane before. Even under those circumstances he hasn’t brought on Calvert-Lewin the only other CF, presumably because he’s so out of form for his club. If that’s the case what the hell is he doing in the squad? Southgate is so far out of his depth and tries to hide behind some sort of coach-speak to try to sound intelligent. Could any one see him getting a job in the PL? A shambolic, clueless manager consistently found out by any half decent coach. Only the FA could have appointed such a clown and until there is a total restructuring of this failed and failing organisation England have no chance of winning anything.
Popular Post mikeyjavfc Posted June 19, 2021 VT Supporter Popular Post Share Posted June 19, 2021 Southgate seems afraid to start Grealish as if his perceived lack of positional discipline or lack of pressing is going to massively upset the balance of the team. It’s like he thinks he’s Pep Guardiola or Bielsa and playing some incredible ideological football that will fall apart if Grealish plays. Mate, you are playing stodgy sideways possession football with 2 DMs with no thrust…Grealish roaming around the pitch a bit is going to do nothing but help your team create some bloody chances.

Howe? Potter? I'm strange in that way, for national teams, I genuinely prefer when the manager is a National of the country. I think Potter would be great for England. Small thing but compare Potter’s to Southgate’s ‘the coaches voice’ tactical breakdowns.

Awol
Telegraph reporting City want him and ready to break PL transfer record to do it. Will come down to him I reckon, if he wants the move I don’t think the club blocks it.

I think for us to sell him this year we would want 200 mil upfront. Also absolutely the club blocks it. Selling him for any price is a bad outcome for the club. You don't spend 300 mil in 3 seasons like we have to go and sell your best player when you are as close to potentially breaking into the top 6 as we are. Feels like if City were actually about to smash the transfer record for Grealish it would get at least a full article! I’d chalk this one up to pure speculation / bollocks at the moment. Popular Post DaveAV1
The “big clubs” have suddenly woken up to the fact that we mean business and are upsetting the apple cart. They know that Jack is very important to our project and disrupting our momentum by buying Jack is the main objective of signing him, even above his obvious unique set of talents. I’m pretty sure Man City bought Sterling from Liverpool for the same reason. Obviously Jack is on a different level to Sterling but the aim is the same, disrupt the challengers. Similarly our interest in ESR and JWP, whilst I believe those players are of genuine interest as big improvers to us in footballing terms, the effect on out rivals would also be a bonus. I’d like to think that our owners response to any offer for Jack would be, that’s a very kind offer but sorry he’s not for sale. While you’re on the phone though, Jack has spoken very highly of your Mr Foden, Phil as he calls him, how much? nepal_villan
Wes Edens has convinced arguably the best basketball player in the world to play professionally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the past 8 seasons. Keeping Jack at Aston Villa will comparatively be a piece of cake.

HKP90 Posted June 20, 2021 VT Supporter Share Posted June 20, 2021 If Grealish goes to Man City, and I do think it’s possible, I wouldn’t want 120+ million, i’d want players in return. We could fast forward the building of a champion’s league squad, by taking 3 or 4 players from a champion’s league squad. All of which will have been coached by the best in the game.
