  1. Don't all start this player thread at once! Ah bugger, spelt it wrong in the title...
  2. Brad Friedel had another fumble against Brighton - i think we got rid at the right time, he's starting to lose it a bit, shame he needs the money.
  3. Apparently Bayern Munich are after the young lad from Hall Green http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2607300/Bayern-Munich-keen-16-year-old-Aston-Villa-defender-Easah-Suliman.html
  4. So... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37220214 Yes from me based on the very little I have seen and the few bits I have heard. Pacey, strong, scores goals. 19 Championship goals last season. Get him in and be done with it!
  5. This news has beaten all the press it would seem. As the rules stipulate to open a new player thread you must provide a link to the speculation source, I have had to link an old article from the Brum Mail in the Summer. It speculates where Villa could pick up an Icelandic star. Welcome Birkir (fingers crossed Villa Transfers Twitter account is on the money again) https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/heres-aston-villa-could-pick-11534357.amp?client=ms-android-samsung
  6. There have been plenty of rumours about us trying to get Robert Snodgrass on loan from West Ham. Here's an article in the Birmingham Mail about it...
  7. Guess he needs his own thread as he is apparently close to signing. Anyone know how good he is? Get out Lescott!
  8. About time he has his own thread now,set to be announced as manager tomorrow. Welcome aboad Steve!
  9. Did a search but couldn't find a thread for this lad. Went on loan to Stevenage in August and has had a bad couple of months with Injuries but last few games been coming off the bench. Scored a cracker on his full Stevenage debut
  10. Think this needs its own thread. Well on a free and ex england international I think this will be a magnificent signing for us http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11677/9882020/micah-richards-heading-to-aston-villa-according-to-reports
  11. Very excited about this player, he's 15 and plays centre midfield, he made his debut for u18s last season at the age of 14. He made his u16 debut at 12. He made his England u16 debut at 14 and has played for England u17 this season, I think he is superb
  12. Looks like we are close to signing him on loan. Would be absolutely delighted with this signing. http://www.espn.co.uk/football/soccer-transfers/story/3606911/chelseas-tammy-abraham-close-to-aston-villa-loan-move-sources
  13. New owner, new start. New division. Anyone know anything about him?
  14. Well, every time I've started a thread about a player this summer within 12 hours they have signed so, welcome Albert Adomah? http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/08/30/gb-aston-villa-move-for-albert-adomah-back-on/ Quick, strong, six million quid, can't go wrong? As was noted in the speculation thread he has played in over 40 games in his last 6 seasons, all at this level. He's 28 years old and has 24 goals and 15 assists in his last 130 games for Boro and has a handy 7.06 rating on WhoScored - https://www.whoscored.com/Players/35328/History/Albert-Adomah Historical Participations Summary Defensive Offensive Passing Detailed View: Overall Home Away Season Team Tournament Apps Mins Goals Assists Yel Red SpG PS% AerialsWon MotM Rating 2016/2017 Middlesbrough Premier League 1(1) 121 - - - - 2 75 - - 6.27 2015/2016 Middlesbrough EC 36(7) 3234 6 5 1 - 1.9 77.7 0.7 6 7.20 2014/2015 Middlesbrough EC 43(3) 3744 6 4 8 1 1.6 72.8 0.7 2 7.02 2013/2014 Middlesbrough EC 38(4) 3433 12 6 2 - 1.6 74.3 0.5 2 7.00 2014 Ghana WC 0(1) 12 - - - - - 71.4 - - 6.45 Total / Average 134 10544 24 15 11 1 1.7 74.9 0.6 10 7.06 Obligatory YouTube clip - Thoughts?
  15. Free Radio reporting that he has died. Terrible news if so. A true Villa legend. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum
  16. Hutton attracting interest Villa and Everton thought to be chasing Spurs right-back http://www.skysports...6786450,00.html Any one take Hutton instead of Walker?
  17. After last years debacle its good to see Dunne back to his best from 09/10. I know he is not most popular player on here but think playing with Given and a manager like McLeish who appreciates defenders has made him return to form. Nice chipped pass for Heskey yesterday as well Long may this continue
  18. Apparent heart attack. Report here. Sorry for short link. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39660196 Former England and Aston Villa defender Ugo Ehiogu is in hospital after collapsing at Tottenham's training centre on Thursday. The 44-year-old, who is Spurs' Under-23s coach, received medical treatment on site being transferred to hospital by ambulance, the Premier League club confirmed. "Everyone at the club sends their best wishes to Ugo and his family," Tottenham added in a statement. Ehiogu has been at Spurs since 2014. He made over 200 appearances for Aston Villa between 1991 and 2000 before spending seven years at Middlesbrough. Ehiogu, who was capped four times by England, also played for West Brom, Leeds, Rangers and Sheffield United before retiring in 2009.
  19. Our new CEO, Keith Wyness, fronted up to the media today alongside Di Matteo and Xia. Spoke very well, and comes with a good track record and experience from Everton. It's good to have an experienced CEO in place and an owner with ambition. Wyness has a big job on his hands. "I've seen many chairman come in and promise the world and deliver an atlas!" Let's hope we don't get an atlas.
  20. Birmingham Mail are reporting that we’re in for him on loan until the end of the season, so I thought he deserved his own thread. Birmingham Mail
  21. Probably needs its on thread now as RDM has confirmed his interest in him. Just click it I would imagine this ones happening for him to confirm it. i have to be honest i don't know anything about him, wont take much to be better than our current cm though
  22. A new thread to replace the over-reaction threads on both sides. There are a few of you who really need to read the posting guidelines before your posting privileges get revoked.
