  1. Has been confirmed as the new “Assistant Head Coach”
  2. 5ft10 I think. Mcleish said it in the press that he's grown a lot more this year than he was at the start of the year.
  3. Thoughts? would love this to happen very good player https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aston-villa-transfer-el-ghazi-15054788
  4. Hutton attracting interest Villa and Everton thought to be chasing Spurs right-back http://www.skysports...6786450,00.html Any one take Hutton instead of Walker?
  5. Welcome to B6 Steven Gerrard
  6. Sounds like Beale is the brains of the incoming group. Some glowing praise from highly credible people in the game. A tactical wizard, apparently. Excited to see how things develop under his tutelage.
  7. Stephen Moore has been playing for the Adam and Eve in Digbeth
  8. Been brought in from WBA as goalkeeping coach He’s got a lot of work on his hands....
  9. Isn't it about time he had a thread? Things seem to be moving in the right direction - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/06/21/aston-villa-make-concrete-offer-john-terry/?WT.mc_id=tmg_share_tw
  10. Angel will hit form sooner rather than later and when he does bag a couple his confidence will rocket and the onion bag will feel his wrath. It has to happen especially with the way Baros has been playing in support.
  11. Reports just now we have agreed a 11m € fee for him. I have absolutely no idea how good or bad he is. Trezeguet developments
  12. Looks like he's gonna take over at Sunderland....hardly a move up. My question to you is, do you think MON will ever manage a bigger club than Aston Villa?
  13. I couldn’t find a thread on him but I saw a video on YouTube of him training with the first team, he’s a very capable, young centre back in my opinion. He’s left sided and he’s a ball playing centre back, he’s 19 years old
  14. Anyone see him on Goals on Sunday this morning. Funny as **** when he swore saying Matthew Etherington was a clever bastard. Spoke very highly of us saying how the club is in his heart and how much he loves it and especially the supporters. He said he felt the club should still be up amongst the top 6 and challenging for the top 4. Also said what a great manager Mon was, how he enjoyed playing for him and how the club probably regret letting him going. Said a few uncomplimentary things about Houllier. Had high praise for Gabby and said that we still had some very good players and should not be struggling. Basically said what most of us know I guess. They showed a fair few of his goals for us and it brought back a few good recent memories although given the tripe served up the last couple of seasons it seemed like a lifetime ago.
  15. This deserves its own thread. So sad to just read the news. Wonderful football, great left foot and was very disappointed when we sold him. Thoughts of with his family and loved ones.
  16. Like any player who makes a full debut, he probably deserves his own thread....be interesting to hear the thoughts of the people who have watched him more regularly in the reserves over the years. Looked solid to me, any full back at times is going to get beaten once or twice vs N'Zogbia but on the whole, thought he coped pretty well.
  17. Telegraph reporter Sam Wallace reporting that this deal will go through soon. 14m ish on the fee. Good young English left back, seems decent business to me. Although, some Saints fans saying it’s a good deal for them. Let’s see how it goes.

  19. Welcome Dean, an exciting appointment!
  20. As this one seems very close I thought he deserved his own thread. I think he is a very useful player and has always looked solid for Wales. Does this mean Amavi is off? I'd be happy with this signing as he has Premier league quality should a miracle happen and we were to go up. Definitely a player who could help us push for the play offs. Pleased if this goes ahead.
  21. Surely needs his own thread now as being reported everywhere and on yellow bar on Sunday. I would assume the 10m we are getting from Westwood and ayew deals are what is funding this deal?
  22. thought he did well tonight, surprised that he's actually 21....... tbh i would take him as Targetts backup over Taylor from what i have seen.
  23. Aston Villa in talks with James Chester after bid is accepted by West Brom http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/transfer-update-aston-villa-talks-11735022
  24. Worth starting a thread as this one is looking nailed on. Full article in the Birmingham Mail here - http://tinyurl.com/zpwwrol I can't pretend to know anything about him, but the reaction from Reading supporters seems to suggest we're potentially getting a bargain. Fingers crossed!
