His pace and positional know how forced Egan into fouling him. Turned a hopeful long ball into an eventual 3 points. Exactly this. None of our strikers would have done that last season, so just having that threat on the counter will transform our game. Add Traore and hopefully Rashica as well and we can cause teams all sorts of problems in those scenarios.

villalad21
I liked watching him and Keinan playing up front together. Think they could form a very good partnership if we played a different system.
Vive_La_Villa
Would have loved that curler to go in. He’s definitely got an eye for goal. It’s amazing how much one or two players can change a team.

We won't and I don't want 2 up front and Watkins will be brilliant regardless
It's Your Round
Looking at the spaces Watkins got into, his willingness to shoot and his desire to get to the ball first. I’m confident he’ll score plenty this season.
tomav84 Posted September 22, 2020 VT Supporter Share Posted September 22, 2020 what i loved last night was he had 3 big chances, but all totally different scenarios: Got in behind and was one-on-one before being wrestled down In the 6 yard box, just didn't connect for tap in Just inside penalty box narrowly curled it over Not only do i think he'll score a hatful, i think he'll score a number of different goals for us. Proper all rounder, not just a poacher, long range or aerial specialist
Popular Post Brentfordnylons Posted September 22, 2020 Visiting Supporter Popular Post Share Posted September 22, 2020 Thought he didn’t look out of place and was a difficult game to show what he can do playing against a side who put every player behind the ball.He showed his strength and pace with the red card incident and will get off the mark at Fulham next Monday. 4
Bazmonkey
play to his strengths and he will be fine for us. We did it a couple of times last night, playing in crosses behind the defence, he nearly got on the end of one. He has got good movement Felt we went to much crossing in deep last night, too easy for their back three all above 6ft, he didn't really have a chance. But like I say, get low crosses in to run on to and he will score for fun.
KenjiOgiwara
You reckon he will be our penalty taker? I was asked who was our taker, and I must admit I have no clue anymore

Fully understandable that we've all tried our best to remove the game from our memory but El Ghazi scored one vs City at Villa Park.

Oh yes! Thanks for bringing that flooding back. We had 3 then, all taken by different players. Did Watkins used to take Brentford's?

TheAuthority Posted September 22, 2020 VT Supporter Share Posted September 22, 2020 Lovely first touch. I was so glad of just that after seeing the ball bounce 10 yards off Wesley and Sammata's shins.
