It's what they're not telling us. Positive tests don't mean shit if they're like all the people I know who've got it and exhibit only mild systems. I posted maybe a month, 6 weeks ago that the number of cases as the primary indicator of the problem is/ would be no longer the right measure. That hospitalisation and then later still, death rates would become the important metric. The problem now with the state of the country is that there are multiple measures we know protect people, but that none of these are being deployed to their optimum. Vaccination is the first measure, but rates have dropped and still a large chunk of the population are refuseniks. That’s not all the government’s fault, but they could do more. Measure 2 is safe interactions and covid passes would assist with this as well as being an incentive for people to belatedly get vaccinated. If you can’t go to the pub/club/whatever without a pass, then you may decide to get jagged. Next is masks. People have mostly binned off wearing masks, for no reason other than following the herd and lack of compulsion. Other nations are taking all these steps and seeing far lower rates of death and hospitalisation. Its perhaps tempting to say “well it’s mainly anti-vac throbbed that are suffering”, but it’s not only them, and even numpties need protecting, if only from their own idiocy. With a pandemic, it’s necessary to give up some “normal life” individual freedoms to protect the lives and health of people, to make sure non-covid patients can get treated, to give doctors some respite, to turn the trend back round and enable return to a more lasting low covid society, and also to reduce the probability of new variants. 5 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I’m having waves of feeling crap (chills, blocked nose mainly), especially last night having the chills but nothing too overpowering that probably would have done me in had i not had the vaccine.
