Keyblade
Very good news. Dependable backup, that doesn't seem to kick up a fuss and takes his opportunities when they come.
villa4europe
means we need to buy 1 CB in the summer and not 2, gives us time and breathing room its sensible business, he's good enough for where we are and how we use him

mickjacobjr
He is a 4th Choice centre back at best if we really want to push on
Adman
Glad he's resigned. Would have been too much upheaval replacing both back up CBS this window. Are Hause and Smith our settled 2 now or are we going again?

VillaAlex
I think it's a very sensible move. He's mainly solid for us, he offers us something different in that he's much better in the air than any other centre back and also he's left footed which every manager seems to want nowadays which adds a premium to their value. He might end up leaving in 12-18 months but we've secured him as an asset.

Popular Post OutByEaster? Posted January 20, 2022 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted January 20, 2022 This is good news on a couple of fronts I think. Firstly, he's become a very decent centreback who is capable of coming in and doing a job for the club - having players that are good enough to do the job and patient enough to spend a lot of time on the bench is no bad thing. Secondly, there was reportedly interest in him elsewhere so he might have been able to get the money he's getting and play more games, for me that suggests he's expecting us to play more games in future - that he's been sold on the idea that our back ups will play more because we are aiming for European football. Excellent.
Strog
Good news. I like him, he has a good attitude and is more than adequate as a back up. He also has a goal in him too!
JAMAICAN-VILLAN
If the rest of our team improves, he will hopefully have less panic stations work to do, and can focus on what he is good at. Winning absolutely everything in the air and outmuscling forwards. He'll also have more time on the ball as well, which isn't his strongest point. Although, they probably see potential to improve him further. Also provides some continuity and nice to tie down one of our old boys.
WHY
He will never be the best CH but he’s a decent back up, perfectly fine to have as a 3rd or 4th choice. He’s brilliant in the air, the type of CH we should play against the likes of Lakaku.
Villatillidie95
Great news, always liked Hause, thought he has contributed well when asked to step in and would like to see more of him as I do think he can get into the team more regularly. He is the most aerially adept of our defenders and is a goal threat. Dosen't seem to have caused any disruption and seems like a good pro

He’s played more at Villa than he did at Wolves, week in week out football for Kortney would probably mean a relegation battle in the premier league or dropping down to the championship, he probably enjoys working here and has state of the art facilities at his disposal and get’s a pay rise for sticking around. AV82
It can't be easy to sit on the bench through your prime years. Fair play. Hope we've made it worth his while.
