KentVillan Posted September 22, 2021 Share Posted September 22, 2021 He looks a run of games away from being very good. There's no doubt he's here as a starter - he's wearing the number 8 shirt. Very busy, decent touch, can beat a man, and can pick out a pass. He still seems a bit surprised by the intensity of the press at times. Think in Ligue 1 you just get much more time to turn and look around. Hopefully that sense of urgency will come with more game time and match fitness. He clearly has the natural engine and pace to play in the PL though. As a solid all-round midfielder glueing the side together, I can see him doing a really key job, especially if we try to play 4-4-2. And his career goal record is similar to John McGinn's, so in theory he should start chipping in with a few goals.
