They signed eleven players in the summer, spending around £60m, and breaking their transfer record twice. Some of that was funded by the Buendia sale, but by their standards you could say they showed more ambition than usual.

Their net spend this summer was £25m which is nothing these days, especially when they're newly promoted and saw their star player leave.

Tbh I'm surprised how they always manage to seemingly piss the Championship.

They know where things stand for them. They've given it more of a crack than usual, helped by us giving them a **** ton of money, but they've got a weaker side to start with and they've only managed to pick up a few bits of quality who haven't set the world alight.

Typical yo-yo club at this point. They're too good for the Championship, but hopeless at Prem level. Unusually they seem to have a manager who is at that same level so sacking him might not make much sense. They probably know they could put Klopp in charge and get relegated and the game they are playing is reliant on that regular promotion. The only reason to sack him is if they start to completely fall apart. If they just get honestly beaten every week, sacking him might cost more than it's worth.

Maybe they should leave him in place, wait for him to piss the Championship, and then sack him immediately after the final whistle on the last day of next season.

Norwich should be banned from the premier league. No offence to them but it always seems a waste of a space. If they win the championship they should just get a free £10 bet on SkyBet and that trophy of that guy climbing out of a ball.

They have been shafted with the fixtures to give them a small get out.

Plenty of time to go.

I don't think they'll sack Farke regardless. Perhaps look to replace him when they next get promoted.

I think they've picked up some good players.

That's OUR man ball horror trophy and we're not giving it up for anything.

It's the only trophy Villa won since I've been a supporter

Have Man City ever won the Peace Cup Joe Gresford?

In their defence they are operating within their means. Look at some of the clubs who have suffered financial meltdown chasing the big time. They're run very well but that means they can't compete.

They're awful. At least last time they had a certain element of surprise and Pukki performing to give them a good start.

They seem to be exactly the same as last time. But this time everyone knows how they play. They'll finish bottom

What is the point of getting promoted for these teams.  All the excitement of getting promoted then get battered every week

What we need to do is to see how the gap between the PL and the championship can be narrowed, not the big clubs get richer and pull further away.

I assume their owners are happy just to pocket the cash though
