Another where we've wasted money on him not because he simply isn't good enough but because we didn't even give him a fair crack of the whip

Don't think he was ever going to be a 1st choice PL right back but he deserved more games

I think that Leicester debacle before the covid lockdown was the end for Freddie as a Premier League player. That game really highlighted his limitations, especially positionally.

It's a shame because I really admired his passion, but let's be honest, we now have what's considered an elite coach, so it makes perfect sense to hopefully have top quality players.  I don't even think Cash is going to last under Emery. I think KK has all the attributes to be a really good right - back, and Emery has shown, he has no qualms about playing youngsters .

Surely someone else in France would like to have him playing?  Even if we can only get a % of his wages of the books it's surely worth it if the relationship is completely finished.

I'll always have a soft spot following him sitting in the stand with the fans at Wembley before he'd even officially started with us but multiple managers now don't seem interested.

Maybe Emery just hasn't got round to addressing it yet and there is a way back but it seems strange he's not immediately re-joined the first team.  Maybe there is more to it.

Starting for the U21's

Not rated by Smith, Gerrard and now Emery!

People have been very resistant to hearing this, but the problem is he just isn't very good.

I hope for everyone's sake he can get a move either on loan or on permanent until the end of his contract.

Guilbert had a successful loan spell at Strasbourg and seems more than capable.

When Cash has been out he would have been a suitable replacement.

So I suspect this is not about ability at all but about some internal team politics or there is some personal stuff that's going on. We'll never hear about it of course.

He clearly hasn't got a future here but I think that's down to something other than ability.

Em I would think Young would have something to say about that.
