Roberto Di Matteo

Shame didn't work out, I had so much hope and optimism that he was going to become a club hero, instead we are languishing in the all too familiar positions or 19th and such, how depressing can it get!

Dropped a league, and still can't get a win.

Anyhows let's hope Dr Tony is still prepared so spend the cash and makes a really smart appointment, let's make a statement with this next manager.

Aston Villa have sacked Roberto di Matteo as manager after just 124 days in the job.

Villa are now looking for their fifth boss inside a year after deciding to replace the Italian

It's pretty depressing reading.

His undoing was not bringing in enough centre midfielder. I still think we need another two midfielders. Westwood isn't up to it, Tish is injury prone, Jedi plays like he's 87 years old and Gardner is average at best.  Veretout and Sanchez would have been a better pairing.

Now let's hope Tony and co bring someone in who can do the business.

Based on the outcome of his intervention last time, I'm hoping Tony keeps a long way away from the next appointment process.

Which of our past managers is currently managing a club?  Anyone know?

Given the payoffs we have rewarded them with, none of them need to work!

Not that anyone would have them!
