MCU
Glad they haven't left this one dragging on. Needed to go before it gets worse.
Tommo_b
Shame didn't work out, I had so much hope and optimism that he was going to become a club hero, instead we are languishing in the all too familiar positions or 19th and such, how depressing can it get! Dropped a league, and still can't get a win. Anyhows let's hope Dr Tony is still prepared so spend the cash and makes a really smart appointment, let's make a statement with this next manager. dont_do_it_doug.
It was indeed done right after the game. As I said yesterday, the players already knew. I'm not ITK by the way, it was a one off. Didn't really matter a shit in the end though!

MachoFantastico
Good news indeed, we've had some bad managers over the years but I've never seen one look so lost as RDM.

Davkaus
Quote Aston Villa have sacked Roberto di Matteo as manager after just 124 days in the job. Villa are now looking for their fifth boss inside a year after deciding to replace the Italian It's pretty depressing reading.
villa4europe
2 man midfield in order to shoe horn in the attacking players was his undoing imo
PieFacE Posted October 3, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted October 3, 2016 (edited) His undoing was not bringing in enough centre midfielder. I still think we need another two midfielders. Westwood isn't up to it, Tish is injury prone, Jedi plays like he's 87 years old and Gardner is average at best. Veretout and Sanchez would have been a better pairing. Sherwood at least had the cup semi final to cheer about. Beating Rotherham is Rdms highlight :/
It's Your Round
It's a shame it didn't work out but this is the right decision. Now let's hope Tony and co bring someone in who can do the business.
briny_ear
Ah well, we have a date with the 2016/7 accounts to try and work out the size of his pay-off. I was surprised at how little I took to him as a manager/figurehead. Thought he was great at Chelsea but it didn't travel.

Based on the outcome of his intervention last time, I'm hoping Tony keeps a long way away from the next appointment process.
