tinker Posted August 21, 2021 VT Supporter Share Posted August 21, 2021 Means nothing to me, let's ignore him and let this thread die a death, the guys as plastic as the Manchester Blue team he turns up for. Feel sorry for his dad tbh.

Popular Post MaVilla
I posted this elsewhere.....but thought it was better in the Grealish thread (just about my thoughts on "the snake". The reason i now hold complete disdain for Mike Lubb, is the way he consciously traded on the fans loyalties and emotions, to come across as this leader of the club he loves, "a fan captaining the club he loves, and a manager managing it"...as Grealish liked to say all the time, he speaks about Totti and dedication to a club they love, many other things, its just pure scum for me. Where, in hindsight: 18/19 - he wanted to go to Spurs but we said no chance (at the last minute once the new owners were here), signs new contract when we told him no way ur leaving. 19/20 - no offers so continued the "Mike Lubb, Mike Lubb c*ap". 20/21 - He says himself he considered his options, but no offers came in for him, so he signed a 5 year contract (with the release clause put in cus......ye), while touting the usual "my club, my team, im like Totti, i love my club, i believe in the project". 21/22 - Release clause activated, i dont believe for one second he found it a hard decision, had tha gall to compare his situation to Messi......ye.....Messi offered to take a 50% pay cut, u instructed us to activate ur release clause so u could scoodle on out. So ye, if he hadnt traded on the fans emotions, i wouldnt really care one way or the other, its a lot of money and i cant complain in that sense, but....tbh i will never forgive the dirty snake for the way he traded on the fans emotions for his own benefit, at least we realised at the end it was all an act, so i can give him a big FU and just be glad we got good money for the snake oil salesman. He wouldn’t in his right mind choose to do this with such a shot goal. No doubt he’s somehow contracted to do it by one of his sponsors. It just feels like an act. As I’ve said before it’s just about the Grealish brand now. Which is fine, but I don’t really take him that seriously as a footballer now. Same how it’s obviously lovely how he always gives his shirt to a fan but I feel like his whole persona and act is orchestrated. The guy is literally a moron and he’s just got people pulling the strings.
Keyblade
The funny thing about the finger in ears celebration was it was originally meant to be in response to all the paper talk linking him to other teams when he was focused with Villa.
Popular Post 8pints
I thought there was something about the 'fingers in ears' being a comforting message to his sister? Like an 'I'm not letting what's said upset me/not listening don't worry' type thing? Although yes, I wouldn't be surprised, due to the attention him doing it has received, that there may be a marketing idea to make it his signature celebration. I was away working when it was all going on, so I missed out on all the fun on here, but I love him, I'll always love him, I'll miss him playing for us and I wish him well. He is the best player I've ever seen play for Villa, but no player is bigger than the club anyway, now I have Jamaica's greatest player to watch as a replacement ....when he's fit anyway (similarities) A player so good my Dad has postponed 'retiring' to Jamaica, just to watch him play, so there you go, what a compliment plenty of good times ahead.

What Villa fan, Dad or not, wants “their” club to lose its best player and biggest driving force? I just hate the way Jack comes across now like Villa arent good enough for him, and the message he has sent to all those still at the club who looked up to him. A lot of them seemed like they were not only giving their all and fighting for Aston Villa, but for Jack Grealish too & now he’s abandoned ship. Sorry but that doesnt sit right with this whole fanbase, and I think relinquishing being Captain of the club you love is unforgivable. He’s let everyone down big time, he could have left 99 different ways and we’d be fine with it, but he chose the 1 unacceptable way that has tarnished his relations forever
