Awol Posted August 6, 2021 Share Posted August 6, 2021 Watched some random stream from Jamaica a few days ago discussing the Bailey transfer, and they clearly saw joining us as a two season stepping stone to finally get a Chelsea move. If that were to happen (not saying it will but feeling a little cynical right now) then Barry is the homegrown replacement at LF. Loaning him now and then easing him in to the first XI the following season would have him ready to take over the left side aged 21. Very good move this, imo. Hopefully that means he'll have good quality around him to stay involved. Grealish was older and went to Notts County in a worse state. Also good that they're a club that get 20k fans every week, him getting used to that.
