HKP90 Posted December 9, 2021 VT Supporter Share Posted December 9, 2021 Nice problem to have, this isn’t it? We have options in terms of selection and possible impact subs. Squad innit.
sne
He'll off to the AFCON in a month along with Nakamba and Traore I guess.
VillaJ100
Don't think he's good enough but a great workrate and he arguably kept us up with that goal v Arsenal (thanks for not covering the near post Emi)
DJ_Villain
Gerrard has said he wants to give everyone a run around to see what they are made of and how they can fit in/contribute to the team… Im presuming that includes Trez, and if Gerrard likes what he sees and wants to keep him around, then that’s good enough for me! Interesting to see if Traore and Trez go seeing how they haven’t played for us in so long.

The Fun Factory
I think Gerrard will like him because of his work rate which is streets ahead of Traore or Bailey who have more ability.

When Trez is at 110 percent he is a very good player. As you mention, if Gerrard could conjure more quality out of him as well, he can become a real asset. Popular Post Tom13
Trez has never been a 'very good player' at this level. At his very best, he's just about passable at PL level, and that's at his very best. PL is not his natural level. I'd start Traore over him every single time. 4

VillaChris
I think he'll be an o.k option off the bench for last 10-15 minutes for however long he remains with us. Assume the role say Young did v Brighton given he's now regularly starting. He won't just be thrown in to start games given the nature of the injury. pete101
Can see games against the bigger clubs where young plays on left and trez on right Edited December 11, 2021 by pete101

Zhan_Zhuang
Back with a place on the bench, well done Trezeguet. I think Gerrard will approve of his energy and desire.

samjp26
Saw this a mile off. I’m pretty sure he’s in our top 3 when it comes to workrate, that role behind the striker is up for grabs
MWARLEY2
Good to see him back. If theres one thing he is elite at then its workrate. Like a balloon when you let it go and the air drains out.i just hope that the cruciate hasnt dulled his ability to be absolutely everywhere at once .
