I read in another thread that VAR has cost us loads. I thought "everyone can say that, though". So, with that in mind, is there anywhere that shows how many points VAR has cost clubs in the Premier League this season?

Not exactly what you are after, but this site redoes the table if no VAR was involved. It doesn't make a judgement about whether or not the decisions were correct though.

Quote

20th: Bournemouth (17 points)

19th: Watford (19 points)

18th: Norwich (20 points)

17th: Southampton (20 points)

16th: Brighton (20 points)

15th: Aston Villa (23 points)

14th: Burnley (24 points)

13th: West Ham (25 points)

12th: Newcastle (25 points)

11th: Crystal Palace (28 points)

10th: Everton (28 points)

9th: Manchester United (29 points)

8th: Tottenham (29 points)

7th: Sheffield United (30 points)

6th: Arsenal (31 points)

5th: Wolves (34 points)

Wow, that really shows up the pro-Liverpool bias, only a 7 point lead!

Joking aside, we have been shafted by dodgy  VAR decisions more than anyone else, and some at crucial game deciding moments.  Amazing that even with the technology we still get screwed over.  Whether that's a conscious hatred / desire to see less opposition to the establishment is another matter.

Add the points we have literally handed over to teams as well and it's depressing.

Our early games in this league where we could barely keep up for 60 mins killed us + the debacle at Palace. We should have at least a good 5 points more.

Its hard to say this with certainty tbh. I think almost all the fans out there believe the same thing regarding their club, hell even some Liverpool fans. It gets even more complicated when you start talking about the other games we could've possibly won if we had won the previous game that we didn't because of VAR. Its just the nature of the beast. No one really knows with certainty.

I think people would have taken 7 points from the 1st 4 games of 2020. City game was bad but wasnt one of the crucial games

I didn't even notice that. Actually decent form, but really hasn't felt like it. Hopefully we can push on now and have our turn to pick up a few more wins on the bounce.

Looking at the fixture list and for those around us and we have a very good chance now - confidence from today, and another striker on top of Samatta, possibly Mgin back for last few games - it can be done.

great win versus Watford, the Bournemouth game is a critical 6 pointer.

Our run in now is pretty tough.

Bournemouth, Spurs, Southampton, Sheff Utd, leicester, Chelsea,  Newcastle, Wolves, Liverpool, Man Utd, Palace, Everton, Arsenal, W.Ham.

14 games left, we need 15 points minimum from the 42 available. (4 wins, 3 draws, 7 losses???), going to be difficult.

Southampton now 3 points off 5th

This has a bit of a championship feel about it, string some form together and you'll go top half

If Norwich win it'll be 10 places separated by 10 points with 14 games left, there's a lot of football left to play, this "lose this and we're finished" stuff is nonsense, this will go all the way

Really not sure about that. We have 25 points. 35 points kept you up last season, so by that metric we'd need 10 more points not 15. I think teams will need a little more than 35 points this year, and maybe we'll need the full 40, but 38 points keeps teams up 90% of the time. Only once in the past ten or twelve years was 38 points not enough.
