In these post-Brexit days, it's likely that there has to be a legal agreement in order to get work visas. They can't professionally train while on a visitor visa.

What if they trained unprofessionally?

I don't think so, maybe they are just very good business men who had a set but adaptable plan (has to be in this game) that is being executed in stages at the right time. If this window is successful and we end up finishing say 7/8th, the next stage is 50/60m players that come straight in and improve us overnight. They also know that some of those signings could be freebies from our academy, Aaron Ramsey could come back from his loans in the future as a squad player who then walks into the starting lineup the following year. That's a long winded way of saying that progress will be made because every base is being covered because from the top to the bottom of the club, we are doing everything right

HELL YEAH !!

The pitarch signings have generally been OK and he was slightly unfortunate to lose his job. I'd also add that paddy reilly's signings were also decent, but didn't come good quickly enough. Sometimes these sporting directors are a little too ahead of their time or maybe they only consider the data rather than intangibles like player psychology. Who knows?!

I think the problem with Paddy Reilly's signings was not lack of time but a Muppet manager who did not know how to use them - not once did we use Geuye as a DCM - the position he has thrived in - instead thinking that, just because he was similar physique and played in midfield, that he would replace Delph. I believe a CM pair of Geuye and Varetout, probably with Jack at 10, could have seen us survive in the PL.

However, we may never have found our way to NSWE in that scenario.

Think the benefits to Villa will be marginal - just some opportunities to loan players or sign older players who can finish-out their careers in MLS.  Doubt we will see an uptick in AVFC fans - not like half of Birmingham started supporting the Cleveland Brows or Bucks due to Lerner and Edens. Really hope the club has a unique identity and does not piggyback on the Villa name. They will actually lose fans that way as most soccer fans in LV probably already support another club outside of the USA.

There will be business advantages having an international group of companies. Most will be indirect to the actual football, but player recruitment, shared coaching resources/facilities and fan base uplift will also be positively affected (to some extent).

An expensive year or two ahead for NSWE what with Villa Park expansion to fund and Villa Las Vegas (which surely has to be the name)  to build from scratch.

ROI is pretty much guaranteed and with the potential of dual sponsorship deals, increased exposure and coverage of the Villa brand all things currently looking very positive for the long term.
