The RJW63 Official Jack Grealish Appreciation Thread

Every time we look like improving along comes a team like Man Poo or Citeh to derail us.

Maybe the future will be brighter without Grealish but it hurts especially after all his talk about being a Villa fan and loyalty.

But, perhaps I'm jumping the gun, perhaps he'll stay?

City Xtra (@City_Xtra) Tweeted: #ManCity have offered £90M plus Morgan Rogers (19) - valued at £10M - for Jack Grealish. Rogers would be open to a move to Villa Park, and is also wanted by Crystal Palace.

I can’t copy Tweets, clearly!

But who dafuq is Morgan Rogers?

We won't accept that, not enough e's in the club shop

It’s apparently £90m + Morgan Rogers (who?). What an insulting offer, not even all up front.

Shoild be rejected outright.

Slight improvement on 3m and Onomah

Percy is as trusted as it gets. And if a bid has gone in then guaranteed Jack and his agent have said they're open to a move.

Now the question is do we ask for more? Refuse any bid? And does Jack accept that or kick up a fuss?

I'll reiterate that ego is a dangerous thing in a dressing room and can infect a place very quickly. We can say " Grealish isn't like that " If he really wants to move, we reject the move, and essentially make him stay, you don't know what you are potentially doing to that dressing room. If they meet the price, he wants to move, sell.

90mil + Morgan Rogers is not in anyway a good deal for villa. You would not offer a potential gem as player exchange so it would appear they have over inflated Morgan value.

It's insulting to our club and our fans.

offer proper money or shut the door on your way out

Tell you what then, Sell Morgan Rogers for £10M to Palace, then when you have the £100m, call us back...

Haha, yeah. Just sounds like someone trying to negotiate for no reason.

Let’s face it, if you can afford 90 million, you can afford 100 million.

This £90m + Morgan deal should have been rejected already. Hopefully.

Why would we want one of their 19 year olds when we have the best crop of players of that age group in the country

thing is, i can see a scenario where selling Jack for 120m would actually be beneficial for the team.

thats IF, we spent the full 120m on 3-4 very very good players, plus the 80m we were already gonna spend, ie: a full 200m.

I was wondering this morning. Hypothetically Jack goes for £100m, will we spend that plus any money already earmarked for this window?

If we don’t do we start to question the ambition of NSWE? They make bold claims of getting to the CL but the odd £30m signing won’t get us there.

BUT, those players we bought for 200m, would need to be top keck and actually take us to the next level without Grealish.

It could be done, but the recruitment team would 100% have to ensure they had their weetabix, and NWSE would have to show their cahoona's by reinvesting every penny.

the risk is we have 200m to spend, and spunk it on trash, im more confident now than at any time in the last 20 years that we have the right recruitment team....but you just....can never be 100% sure. (especially with our transfer istory over the last decade).

Obviously i would prefer to keep jack, but gotta be realistic also, i mean...Leicester managed it......maybe we could too.

Selling him 15 days before the season starts, with numerous players to bring in if it happens, is super risky.

If we get £120 million in hard currency, not player swaps or hard to achieve clauses then it will absolutely propell us forward. Everyone except for the most elite clubs are in the end selling clubs. Sucks but that's the way it is. The goal should be to use that money to always propell us forward.
