James Ward-Prowse

Wasn’t keen on JWP, mainly because of the mooted price, but I desperately want us to have a specialist set piece taker - it’s a weapon we desperately need and will help us to win more games and score more goals (what more could we want?).

I’ve come around to the idea and now would actually like this to happen unless we can bring someone in with the same kind of ability and possibly more to offer in play and improving the side… there just has to be better value out there but the element of risk seems to put many off…

I can definitely see him wanting to join us but less sure about Soton’s willingness to sell and any reasonable kind of valuation… no doubt we are much more ambitious and have the resources to back it up, we have an exciting & appealing project for many players…

When did you take over for Villalad? I missed the transition. 😉

Has anyone seen them in the same thread together?? 👀

He’s trying to take the tea bagging award off him.

Bulbs grow in gardens, it’s a lamp 😉

Ah, a man after my own heart!: I own a construction company and its always a lamp - I even changed my post from ‘Lamp’. I only referred to it as a light bulb for everyone else as if I refer to it as a lamp a lay person doesn’t generally know what I mean! 👍

Nah. Can't be. I've never seen KW in the Leeds thread.

I feel ashamed I never knew this. What's a lamp called then?

On topic Edit: this deal needs some food, any more links?

You know, I looked through Ward-Prowse's stats and its crazy how they actually cover for the weaknesses of all our other central midfielders. I'm sure for some of these stats its due to Southampon't playstyle more than anything but if we really want a well-rounded midfield, Ward-Prowse would be the final piece of that puzzle and would be the most achievable option.

More like the opposite. People are running with this like wildfire. By all accounts Southampton have said no bids and he's not for sale because of one article. It's bad behaviour like every Grealish to Manure last season and Man City this season and I think it's irresponsible garbage

*wrong thread. Sorry!

I like the idea of the signing. Hope it happens. Purely speculative at this point.

James Ward-Prowse has been known to the locals for many centuries, but it was only in 1933 he became a national celebrity, after a vacationing doctor managed to snap a photo allegedly showing the legendary midfielder's head and upper body breaking the surface of the local lake. It is speculated that the lake had a whole family of Ward-Prowses, and that extensive road building along the lake in the 1930s ruined the family's regular living area, making them homeless vagabonds. This can explain the increased number of Ward-Prowse sightings in the years after.

This is taken from memory, so some details MAY belong to another myth.

Sounds suspiciously like a tale from a loch near me.....
