Phenomenal work that it seems to though. When Jack was out the one game we looked just as good without him was when Barkley actually found some form, the fact that we've gotten a seemingly more reliable - and dare I say without jinxing it definitely better - replacement for him fills me with a lot more confidence. Smith said himself that he'd identified this area as one of concern and the fact we've moved this swiftly to address it just shows how much Villa aren't **** about right now. It's like @Mantis said earlier, it's just because we usually end up beating them comfortably. We are financially in a better position than Arsenal. However if bids were accepted for both clubs he probably would have chosen Arsenal. I mean how do they think teams get better and crack the top 6? It's really dawned on me how little fans of other teams know about our project. He really is their Grealish. They've all utterly convinced he's ready for a Champions League team now. Been described as the best player they've ever had play for them, bearing in mind Maddison was there that's sure encouraging. I understand how they feel, it would have been like us seeing Grealish going to Spurs a couple of years ago. But the total disrespect of us is quite shocking. I've never really had any thoughts about or beef with Norwich but I hope they are relegated as the worst team ever and this is entirely down to the tirade against us on Pinkun. To be honest, considering West Ham paid something like £50m+ to bring in Bowen and Benrahma he’s probably right. This is the signing I really wanted this summer. Now on to a LB and, hopefully, a DM. I did similar in '97 as a 12 year old. I wrote to Brian Little and recommended Christian Vieri. I got a thank you letter back, signed by Brian. A few months later, in the summer window, we were linked with him in the News of the World and I went mental.
