He will come good.
bobzy
Got to hope he comes good. He's looked well off it, and certainly part of that will be adjusting to a new group. Seems to always want an extra touch which wasn't the type of player I was expecting when he came in.

You could but I watched a fair few Leverkusen games two years ago and Bailey much better on the right of the two sides so I'd rather just play our best attacking player in his best position.
TheLegendOfLeonBailey31
After a pretty solid performance last week... a tough one today for Emi, but it's truly hard to assess the individual when legit everyone was terrible and there was zero cohesion. Really hope the boys figure it out in training this week. I wouldn't be surprised if Ramsey starts over him next weekend.

dont_do_it_doug.
A very important lesson in this for Villa - always keep the receipt.
AVTuco Posted October 22, 2021 VT Supporter Share Posted October 22, 2021 Wrong level, should play in the Championship. I'm sure he'd still do fine there.

GingerCollins29
Dogshit. Constantly loses the ball in good areas and has done all season. Deginitley a player in there but he needs to get his shit together quickly
Zhan_Zhuang
Buendia looks slow and very lightweight, not impressed so far. He looked very angry when he was subbed; hopefully it was anger for his performance and not choosing Villa over the other team!

Davkaus
I think he showed enough promise in the Wolves game we should be showing a little more patience. I'm certainly not won over yet, but I'm not writing him off, and I'm expected to see he he plays with Bailey.

villaglint
Was a shockingly bad performance tonight but I thought but for a couple of loose touches he was very good against Wolves. He’s a LOT smaller than I realised and has a touch of the Jotas about him which is worrying. Hopefully he improves. What more can you say.
Made In Aston
I wonder if playing him as a deep lying playmaker might suit him better. His passing range and vision is pretty decent and he may have a little bit more time and space to do his thing.
LondonLax
Being good for Norwich in the championship doesn’t mean a lot. He’s not got the time and space he had there and seems to be struggling with the step up.
useless
He's being played out of position and in the wrong formation, put him on the right in a 433 and we'd see better performances from him, actually I think one of the biggest mistakes that Smith makes as Villa manager whilst we've been in the Premier League is trying to play No.10 types in central midfield, didn't work with Grealish save for a few games here and there, didn't work with Barkley and isn't working with Buendia - we're not good enough, and neither are most teams, to be sacrificing a specialist midfielder in order to play a No.10 in midfield. I'm sure he'll come and turn out to be a good signing, I think part of the problem is that he was being way over hyped in the summer.
