  1. For a while I felt like I jinxed Leon when selecting my handle/user name after he signed... very happy that he's been approaching legendary status so far this year. Here's hoping he's got one or two legendary moments up his sleeve in the second half of the season. Such an exciting player when he's firing on all cylinders.
  2. I'm sure he did.... but I don't remember it happening all that often... and it certainly hasn't happened lately. Regardless, hopefully you understand the point of my comment.
  3. I hadn't heard that.... what are they proposing to change about the current way offside is handled? The only REALLY tight offsides yesterday was Watkins goal...
  4. 1000%. With his pace you'd love to see him take on defenders... he almost never tries to beat someone 1 on 1, which I find shocking.
  5. Great to see him back in the mix. His pace and physicality is a really really nice thing. Loved the slide tackle.
  6. Couldn't disagree more. Thought Bailey was a great sub and had a positive influence in the second half. Diaby doesn't know what to do with space. He's all about running in behind and hopefully getting a through ball or a ball over the top. If he's got the ball and there's anyone in front of him, all he does is turn back. It's infuriating... at least Bailey moves forward in that situation. Diaby ruined two or three really good chances in the 1st 45... Clearly Unai saw that and decided to yank him, which I think will do Diaby a load of good. A little kick in the seat of the pants. Needs to be more of a game breaker.
  7. Never been to VP unfortunately... but it's on the list, however I'll never get to enjoy going week in and week out, which I'd love to do, considering I live in the states... so i have to do my best via the TV. Again, wasn't trying to be harsh.... I think he certainly draws attention and opens things up, just want him to get on the score sheet a bit more and challenge players 1on1.
  8. might have to buy nord vpn just so I can watch this.... won't work for me in the USA
  9. RB for competition/cover in case of injury for Cash (Konsa can play there, but I'd rather he be at CB all the time) and backup keeper is probably all I'd look to do at this point. I am a massive fan of Duran, can't wait to see him back in the mix again and don't see the need for another striker.
  10. The meatball has thickened for sure. Love the man. So likable... and when he gets going and means business, he is very tough to stop. Competitiveness off the charts.
  11. It's a fantastic stat.... and while you might say "it's working why fix it", I do think he should get a start here and there in the PL... and I think he will in December. Also think him coming on straight out to start the 2nd half versus waiting for the 60th minute isn't a bad option depending on what the situation is. He's be terrific this year.
  12. Love him, but we need more from him in my opinion. I honestly think Bailey has offered more so far this year. Diaby doesn't do much 1 on 1.... if he's not burning past someone, and he gets the ball with a defender in front of him, he just turns around and passes it back. With his pace, he needs to take defenders on like a Bailey/Doku does. That would make him loads more difficult to deal with. Also needs to bury his chances and improve his final product. I'm not trying to be harsh, I just think he needs to consistently be the most dangerous player on the pitch, and constantly a threat, considering he's our record signing.
  13. That's a shame... I was really hoping he would get involved in the squad this year. I think he's got top potential. I'd much rather see him playing than Dendoncker personally.
  14. He's done it a few times. Certainly has it in his bag with his pace. He bombed forward against AZ Alkmaar on Thursday at least once and created a chance, and took a few shots of his own by getting in the mix. Having both him and Pau that can both progress forward is really nice to have. Hope to see more of it.
  15. So thrilled for Ezri. Beyond deserved. Seeing Maguire continue to be involved in the England squad while he's left out was a complete joke, so glad Southgate finally put down the crack pipe. Up the Ezri.
