He was poor. Didn't matter where he was on the pitch. Obviously not match fit but I get why Dean rolled the dice.

Really need him to figure out that CAM position because it's key to getting our full attacking force on the pitch.

One reason he's been so good for Norwich on the right is because of his pressing. It's a huge part of his game.

If we are telling him to play in the middle as a 10 and stay up he isn't going to press as efficiently as he does on the right.

We're basically taking away a major part of his game.

Norwich fans did say he never looked great in the 10 role

Now they tell us ! - I always thought (without knowing much about him) that he was purchased primarily for the 10 role.

He didn't look fit. Starting on the right wouldn't have solved that issue. Also, you can absolutely press from the center. Ollie does it every game.

Converting Buendia to a CAM is huge for getting both Bailey and Traore on the pitch. It's a gamble, no doubt. If it works though it gives us one of the best attacking forces in the PL.

Championship syndrome. He needs to get used to the Premier League again. It's much quicker and way more physical than the championship. Surprised how he dawdled when in promising positions though.

Not really relevant today though considering the opposition being on their first game out of the Championship.

Clearly needs time to adjust but let's be honest even when Jack played as a #10 in our system he went missing from time to time. I want to see Buendia out on the right next game with Rambo in the middle.

Looked out of his depth. I was always baffled by the fan fare for him on here. He didn’t have the best season last time he was in the Premier League.

Still, it’s one game hopefully he will come good.

Awful today. Still, get him match fit and give him a bit of time and he will come good. Needs to start on the right next game though.

he will do fine in the 10 role when Watkins, Bailey and Ings are up there with him.

We need to play him as a forward, where he has had all his success in his career so far, and free up a space in midfield for an extra body there to help control matches.

If that means picking just three from Buendia, Ings, Watkins, Bailey, ElGhazi and Traoré, so be it.

Was looking forward to him playing but was surprised at how he dwelled on the ball todaya and kept getting caught.

Maybe just needs time to understand the moves of other players to play it quicker without thought.
