Are we still favourites? I thought it was just while the playoff teams and confirmed relegation teams weren't accounted for yet..

edit - just checked, crikey we are favourites at 8/1. Absolutely baffling!

Though we were second favourites behind Newcastle for the season just finished :-(

Youtube video of him.. seems very comofortable on the ball... no idea how he defends.. but could be a ball playing centre back we need? I think he looks similar to Chester. We need a big commanding CB.. basically Baker but better and quicker.

Hes free and could be decent back up though.

Our Norwegian villans.. any good?

would be a sensible signing, it seems when Baker isn't available, chester gets shunted across the other side of the back pairing and he isn't as comfortable...... probably add cover at leftback as well...............

Looking at Forrens career his contract expired at Molde on 1st Jan, moved to Brighton in March and didn't get a game.

Has played for Liverpool and Southampton in his career, could do worse than signing him on a free for competition.

Interesting how the bookies have us down as favourites.

Bookies are not renowned for getting it wrong.....particulary when all of the major ones are in agreement.

or Bookies covering themselves by making best supported club in the division favorites to minimise risk.

Bookies know f. all about who will be promoted next season.

Hmmm, I was hoping for a better quality signing at left-sided centre-half if i'm honest.  Baker didn't do badly, but he's a player we could improve on, especially since he is injury prone.  I would have been looking to structure the defense as follows for next season:

First XI: Taylor -- New tall commanding CB -- Chester -- Bree
Back-up: Amavi -- Baker -- New back-up CB -- De Laet

Out/squad: Hutton (wages too high), Elphick (or keep as back-up CB), Richards (wages too high, isn't a footballer anymore)

Dangerous for a bunch who's livelihood depends on it.;)

I can see 1 CB coming in but I also expect a lot more responsibility will be handed to the likes of Toner and the lad from Bury as 4th choice defenders when we have an injury crisis. Maybe Baker, Chester and Flint will be our 3 with youth final options after them

Transfermarkt has Wayne Hennessy as being out of contract this summer (and I've not heard he's signed with anyone), I would take him if it's on a free. He's not a world class keeper, but we need someone half-decent and I think he is.
