2036 Origin Unknown on Netflix..........I defy anyone to watch this and be able to tell me what the fudge is going on........... Probably the very worst film I have seen in the last 12 months by a good margin.

    Dean Smith

Sad news for the Villa family and Dean. God bless and best wishes to the Smith family.
  3. Who negotiated that deal at the Premier League? You would assume that the prize money/parachute payments for this season have been announced it will have to come out of the next couple of years.
  4. I think they do, The Champions League is the jewel in UEFAs crown. They will want to finish that at all costs.
  5. Say we get relegated, on that timeline where is the transfer window?. Any club being relegated is going to be disadvantaged because you have zero planning time to revamp your squad. The sensible thing to do would be void the season, start planning for next season, maybe look at starting a few weeks earlier to allow for the unexpected to occur.
  6. From what I saw last night when people in our street party completely ignored social distancing the cases of Coronaviruses are going to increase alarmingly and any thoughts of finishing the season will be foolish in the extreme.
  7. I think playing at a neutral venue the bottom 8 could all be a little nervous about the premiership existence. Would that be enough to vote against relegation? maybe some of those from 6th down might look at the finances and say well who brings some big groups of supporters to us when we play them..........surely we would be one they would want to keep if given the option.
  8. Finish the fixture to fulfil the contracts, gets them out of a big hole if the government won't do them the favour of cancelling it for them
  9. Mandy Patinkin plays Saul so so well. I have to admit I didn't really enjoy the Brody story, there I have said it. Series 3 was not the best but from then on it's been top notch with the exception of the last but one series with the conspiracy nutcase.
  10. Very good and had you on the edge of your seat for most of it. Cannot say anymore until it's wired on Sunday in the UK
  11. So on the day that the Prime Minister has to re-iterate to the country that we need to "stick with" the lockdown, football is looking at restarting within 5 weeks.......... Strangely it appears that the FIFPRO the World Players Union are spot on saying it sends out completely the wrong message. Without a doubt someone could die if they go back to early and that is not a price worth paying. I am sure I wont be the only fan disgusted by this decision.
  12. Since the Premier League started how many of the bottom 3 with 10 games to go have been relegated? There are to my mind a few so who is to say at least one of the bottom 3 would avoid the drop but we are going to relegate you. Cricket have no firm date for starting and that is a sport you could run with social distancing on the field but as it's also a spectator sport that has not begun yet. Football should be the same
  13. I guess this might be an unpopular opinion but Homeland when on form is right up there with the best and this series is right up there.
  14. A fortnight between seasons isn't long enough for transfers although that said most would be done on the last day
  15. Having moved the Euros and not cancelling is the issue. Next season has to finish so the they can take place. Top players will have to finish this season, then almost immediately play the following season, then the Euros, then the following season, then the World Cup and then the following season with very little rest If they must finish this season it could mean some players playing 60-70 games in less time than is normally allowed for one season. Not driven by money at all.

I watched Motherless Brooklyn over the weekend and thought it was way too long and I didnt really get why Alex Baldwins character was bumping people off because of a minor indescretion back in the day compared to all the real crime he was committing on a daily basis seemingly above the law. I can only give it a 4 out of 10
  17. 6 months would put us almost into October. The Euros will be next year. I don't see how we can do ish this season. Have a break for transfers etc and then complete the next season before the Euros. I don't see this season being able to restart much before sometime in September. Which competition is going to be cancelled next season to allow any chance of the games being played. Caraboa Cup, FA. Cup, Europa and Champions League? There will be a lot of sponsors arguing that their competition should be played because they have paid for the exposure. Any suggestions will have to be agreeable to a lot of people, not least the government and British public and I will be surprised if in 6 months time anyone really cares about this season.

Watched this on Sunday, enjoyed it. The Invisible Man in comparison was disappointing.
  19. No my point was I don't see how being relegated with Big Sam would be worse than being relegated u see Dean as there are some posters who have said they would rather be relegated with Dean than stop up with Sam which to me is absolute rubbish.

    Dean Smith

Not the best team I agree but one that should be able to be out of the relegation zone. The issue is our defending such a high line and then playing with wing backs rather than full backs, the midfield you could drive a bus through and our only striker is so isolated. Better tactics I have no doubt would have gained more points than we have now and so that's down to the manager.
  21. As I have said before Big Sam would work on a short term contract and he said as much on Talksport. For all those who are saying you would rather be relegated under Smith than give him a chance, how would it be worse to be relegated under Sam than Dean?
  22. To me he looks like he isn't enjoying playing at the moment, just not happy at all

    Defence

It doesn't help when Guilbert has probably the worst game I have seen by a right back in 40 years of watching us.
  24. mykeyb

    Dean Smith

So last season under Dean we kept 11 clean sheets out of 34 games in the league so one in three, Sheff Utd was 21 in 46 closer to one in two although Norwich managed only 13 in 46.........

    Dean Smith

And you genuinely think he could do it next season without Grealish?
