Just back from taking the little ones to a few of the neighbours and up to the in laws.
Didnt watch a second of the game, not sure if that’s a good thing or not as it could be quite a pivotal game in the history of the club..

I had an afternoon nap instead of watching the game! I'm happy with that decision.

When the bins blow over. I know it's blown over, I heard it go, but now I'll be torn on going out to put it back up, even though it'll probably blow over again, because I don't to think it's being blown all over the shop when it's down. But equally I don't want to go and pick it up because I can't be arsed.

Go out for food after the game yesterday

"Here's your table, it's online ordering and payment only." Please scan this code or visit this webpage.

I use their junk website, it freezes constantly, it crashes, it takes 10 minute to add something in a basket, we're in Aston where you can't get any signal anyway, their WIFI is even worse.  Checkout "Would you like to leave a tip?"

FOR WHAT EXACTLY??? For me having to jump through hoops to order from your shit service and get completely **** off whilst in a bad mood already,

It's a covid thing though, right? That's why the entire restaurant was half empty yet every single patron was put in the same corner the same bank of tables.

**** off.

Get some **** staff. Now.

I hate that. Walk into a place only to be put right next to another couple/family etc.  I don’t want to overhear other conversations and pretty sure they wouldn’t want to hear ours. Plus I’m always concerned that our kids will embarrass us, so put us furthest away from anyone please.

You realise this is actually a nationwide issue. Even McDonalds have taken to putting hand written signs in their windows saying "We're Hiring, Ask Inside" or similar

There are over a million vacancies in the UK and they aren't all high end specialist jobs. Employers with unsociable hours vacancies across the board are struggling to recruit

It really isn't as easy as "just get some staff"

I was thinking "Oh man you were SO CLOSE!"

He could have read your face and gone with a “haha, gotcha, i’m just kidding of course”.

Is this an impact of Brexit?

He did read his face, read his face and thought I can clinch this if I go full Nazi just for the interview.

I'm standing behind a guy at the grocery store who has an American flag t shirt that says "Stomp on my flag and I'll stomp your ass!"

🙄

Pretty sure I heard before that it's technically against his constitution to wear that flag as an item of clothing, as that is disrespecting it. But I guess he makes exceptions for the things he wants to do to it :thumb:

Him: "yeah it's good and at the end of the day you can pay them less so the company saves money"

You work in Procurement, log it as a cost saving. That's all that matters isn't it?

No idea to be honest but my suspicion is that it's only indirectly, I think the major reason is the pandemic. Hospitality was totally shut down for months on end. Bar staff, waiting on staff etc all found alternative employment and are quite happy where they are now. There really has been a major shift in where people are employed. People with unsociable hours found jobs elesewhere, a lot of them with much more sociable hours or not dealing with drunks etc. It's very similar in the taxi industry for the same reasons
