He signed Rickie Lambert last summer....and Michael Owen who was basically in semi retirement when Stoke took a punt on him. If he signs Gabby he'll just play him out wide like he does here. Infact if they offered Lambert in a straight swop would you take that deal?
PaulC
I don't know Lambert will be 35 next season. Too old for a striker! We'll prob sign a journeyman footballer like Nugent.

Lescott is a more realistic expectation of what we can expect from signings in their mid 30's. As for Gabby, just build him a circular room and tell him to go stand in the corner. Richard
Must be a mouth virus. Should have cleaned the pipe before putting it in his gob. No time for him at all, stealing a huge living from the club he supposedly supports. Disgrace

Woodytom
The fact that Eric black feels the needs to mention that he couldn't question his attitude tells a lot. First of all, it should be a given and second of all, his attitude in training has nothing to do with him being sick. (Or it shouldn't). If he's sick, he's sick. Why the need to say anything else? foreveryoung
Eric black said he has been called to the club Doctor at 1330 today. Weather he turned up for that appointment is another question.
AntrimBlack
He has been found out. The `pundits' are queueing up to slag him off. I suspect that he realises that another poor performance will garner even more derision, and has chickened out.
Popular Post OutByEaster? Posted April 8, 2016 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted April 8, 2016 In fairness, he's taking stick from just about every single place you could think of, fans, ex-players, pundits, newspapers, TV are all queuing up to have a pop at him - he's the national football laughing stock, the butt of every joke - and sure, he's been overweight and poor for a few seasons now and a certain amount of criticism is well past due - but he's getting a whole lot. And when you consider that what we're dealing with is a simple enough lad living his dream of playing for his local club, driving fast cars and dating faster women, whilst being a hero every other Saturday - the sudden and very public explosion of that dream into being everybody's chump, the footballing worlds loser, must be enough to drive anyone into a position that leaves them dribbling and crying in a corner, holding their knees and rocking. As a Villa fan, I'm not particularly bothered that this Villa team doesn't have this Gabby Agbonlahor in it this weekend, as a human being I have some sympathy with a man whose sickness might not be physical. I don't know him, he might be a nice lad, he might be a colossal arsehole, but I'm not sure I'd want to be going through the criticism he's getting - deserved or not.
