Absolutely zero chance he was signing for us after Grealish left. We did have a chance early summer IMO, but Grealish probably would have told him he was thinking of leaving anyway. Hitchens got better with every season at Villa. Having a Villa player scoring 42 goals in a single season, is impossible to imagine these days. Tammy has very successful for Roma but Hitchins played at a time when Italian football was very defensive. Defintaly one of the Villa all tiome greats.
