You would hope the delay to the stand is more likely a bigger development (DE & NS stands plus the whole of VP) with Atairos funding that project. If they could rebuild the DE stand into something resembling a modern version of the old trinity ....

We are never going to get this mythical "perfect" badge. We can cry like 10 year olds all we want but a new badge won't be in universal agreement. Yes the Luke's kits were ridiculed online, as was the recent round badge too. It happens all the time. I think you (and others) are overreacting to the badge. This outrage is bringing needless negative energy towards the club. Firstly, I am happy we are going to the biggest stage in the world - I want people to see our full name and our date of origin (heritage). If that means little to you - so be it. If you want to whinge about the badge while we are doing well on the pitch & off the pitch - go ahead.

Internet fans cried about the round one too, plus the Luke shirts were absolutely destroyed online and 6 months later were loved. The badge is subjective - nobody is ever going to be in agreement on a badge. The outrage will die down. There are positives to the new badge - it has our full name and origin date. Lets move on.

The badge is fine. Any negativity towards it will die down. It has Aston Villa/1874 - it is a major improvement on Lerner's one. It stands out more than the round one. Also has a greater potential to be stand alone on a shirt. The bigger issue is VP Re-development - that is key to future success.
