To be honest, I'd love to see England just lift our entire back four and play them together. Although it'd be interesting to see Ezri play a few games with some other players so we could get some idea of how much of his improvement is pure skill and how much is from Villa having a well organised defensive system that allows him to thrive. On commentary, I heard that Konsa has been dribbled past ONCE in the PL this season. Thats astounding. Seriously good player and England can't be far off now. I remember when we signed him from Brentford and he played at the England u21s at the Euros. He looked pants. But, wow, what a player he is now. I absolutely love him. He goes about his business quietly but I bet every striker he faces remembers him because they simply do not get a sniff of a chance or error out of him. I have said it before, last game of last season in the tunnel, he looked absolutely psyched up. He looked like he meant business and he's been the same ever since. I think that playing alongside Mings has given Ezri the confidence to do what he's doing. They compliment each other and have become a formidable duo at the back with such a giant behind them between the sticks. Johnnyp Posted January 24, 2021 Share Posted January 24, 2021 Both Konsa and Mings were excellent tonight but it shouldn't be too much of a shock to anyone that's followed Konsa's career to see that he has in many people's eyes elevated himself as the top man of the pairing.
