chips'ngravy
This might sound harsh, as obviously the keeper isn't expected to save a penalty, but having watched it again you could see Pepe was nervous. He kept his head down and didn't look up once before striking the ball, all the hallmarks of a player who was going to blast it down the middle. You'd have thought an experienced keeper might've read that.
Zatman
The free kick, that guy on wall doesn't move out of the way it doesnt go in. Its either El Ghazi, Jack or McGinn by looks of it
villalad21
It's Jack. Take one for the team i'd say. Might hurt for 2-3 minutes. But that loss will hurt me for lot more than 3 minutes.

Doesn't look like professional football, he just passes it into the net. Sort that please because as usual he was solid with almost everything else. One half flap, though he still got something on it. It's the Joe Hart special is that, he just gambles on a side and gives himself no chance. PaulC
Looks like too many players in the wall to me with a gaping hole in the middle. Heaton could have covered that side of the goal easy, He also should have worked out the percentages.
MaVilla
To be fair that wall was terribly placed. Whats that rule about no opposition players in the wall if the wall is a certain size?????
villa89
Too many players in the wall. Poor positioning by the keeper. Jack jumps and turns away from the ball instead of being brave and blocking it.

S-Platt Posted September 25, 2019 VT Supporter Share Posted September 25, 2019 Big game for Tom Saturday against his old club hopefully can give us some inside info! Need those 3 points.
villalad21
Don't think he's been that great. If i'm being brutally honest i don't think Steer would have done much worse.

It had some pace behind it, but it was definitely terrible goalkeeping.

The VAR guys probably did spot it but decided to bottle it as usual.
M_Afro
Absolutely needed to come and deal with the cross for their second today. He will be disappointed with that. Especially against Burnley.

Heaton should be unhappy conceding that one.
MotoMkali
He has been very poor in the prem and has cost us a lot of points. With poor wall placement against arsenal. Lack of aggressiveness to come for crosses and giving away an stupid penalty against bournemouth. I think steer needs a start. Shows no one is undroppable and we are thinking about what is best for the team.
Troglodyte Posted September 29, 2019 VT Supporter Share Posted September 29, 2019 I think he's by far our best keeper and should continue starting. He'll be disappointed with two or three things lately, and his kicking is poor, but he needs to remain our number 1.
