I did wonder about it being fake but it looks very well done if it is. I think the final flick up isn't quite right though

Mate, it's obviously fake :D

He was so comfortable yesterday. He did get exposed for pace once after some really sloppy stuff from Whelan, but we all know that's going to happen every now and then.

Otherwise he was excellent. Him and Chester just looked so comfortable all day.

Also, and I know this sounds dumb, but there was a ball whipped in by Hull. Good ball, Terry met it facing his own goal on about the penalty spot, full on the volley. He kept it in play and hit the halfway line with his clearance, and it looked like nothing at all.
Sounds stupid but that's so hard to do and immediately relieved the pressure without giving away a corner, which I guarantee every other one of our players would have done.

I've got a feeling that he will be caretaker manager in the not too distant future (part of me wonders if that was the plan all along whilst waiting to see how the team performed).

John Terry already targeting return to Chelsea (as manager) after signing one-year deal at Aston Villa

I have no doubt that it is where his future career lays, the question is... does he start it at Villa?

Nope. Tony won't put promotion hopes in charge of a novice i wouldn't think

The tried and tested, proven promotion specialist hasn't worked... maybe go for something mad like letting JT be player manager  He did win the Champions League! ;)

Losing with no real fight and conceding 3 goals wasn't what I expected.

I think he's got quality but to justify the wages and losing Baker we really need to see an impact otherwise what was the point in getting him.

Most threads are getting bunged up - so I'll put this here as it vaguely relates to John Terry.

Whilst his signing didn't particularly worry me on it's own, it does tie in with everything else. The commentary seemed to mention and lot of "being torn apart" today... are we too slow? Hutton, Chester, Terry, Taylor, Whelan/Jedinak as your defensive 5 has very little pace. Is this a problem, or did Cardiff pass it round us today?

I know Chester, Hutton and Taylor aren't exactly rapid but they aren't slugs either. Their 3 goals didn't come from our 5 being totally done for pace.

I disagree.

The first goal, Hutton was easily beaten by the winger who crossed the ball. And the second goal Chester was easily sprinted past before the ball was crossed. I'd stopped paying attention so can't comment on the 3rd

I reckon Terry is included in most opposition managers team talks.

Like it or not his signing has given opponents ammunition to try and prove they can get the better of him.

100% that would have been Warnocks motivation yesterday and it showed. Their forwards were bang on it.

We looked like a bunch of OAP's compared to them. We had no physical pace, and we had no pace to our thinking either.

But we 'had our boots on'...
