Not sure if anyone listened to his post match interview on BBC wm just but to me he sounded like a defeated man , finishing off by saying "If there's a better man for the job then so be it"

'Yeah, sack me if you want as this is how it's going to be' cocky persona.

Sack the useless ****!

Lets all be honest, we are not very good. We have spent lots of money on very good players but there has never been a system or a plan, that I can see anyway. Last season was an under achievement imo and he was lucky to keep his job.

When he came into the club he was exactly what we needed as we were like a punch drunk boxer on the ropes. He steadied the ship and brought some pride back into the club. There is no doubt that he is a very good man manager and overall good bloke and he deserves our respect for that. However the Championship has changed and sides are playing with a lot more style now like Wolves and Fulham last year. You still need that grit and hard work on top though. Cardiff proved you could still go up playing the old way but I believe they are becoming the exception rather than the norm.

It seems like he has lost part of the dressing room now, he’s under enormous pressure and his time is limited. I would be very surprised if he is still manager in October, we’ll see...

I still think Dean Smith would be a good shout. Just feels like we need someone like Chris Wilder who is a fan and lives and breathes the club

After the game, Bruce said: “We were fragmented and one or two players turned it into a circus act. What we served up bordered on embarrassment in the first half. At least it can’t get any worse.

“We’re a big club and everyone wants to kick our ass and we’ve had it really kicked today. I know the consequences and the buck stops at me.

"To be honest I couldn’t see this coming. In the end it could have been even more humiliating.”

So we are 12th in the table at the moment with a zero goal difference, and our last few games have been Sheffield United, Reading, Ipswich and Brentford. Plus, add Burton in there for a bit of fun. What's going to happen when we play Leeds, Boro, etc?

Now is the time to escort the man from the building. It's about an hour or so to Bodymoor Heath. Hopefully, the powers that be are waiting.

Agree with most of this chap, an I think he will be gone defo before the end of Oct.

Although I disagree with the manager choice. I think we would be pissing in the wind if we thought Dean Smith could manage a club like ours! He could probably coach the squad well, but he could far from handle the pressure a club like ours brings.

Digging players out again, that is a shocker.

Then stating he will take the blame, despite everything he said previously absolving him of blame. That is a shocker.

Blames everyone and everything else, then says he'll take the blame.

Won't mention excuses, goes on listing countless number of excuses.

As somebody on the match thread mentioned, he used the ‘putting your boots on’ and going again line.

While I wish he would go today, he’ll be given some time while the new signings come in. Ultimately, despite his bolshy, I’m-going-to-come-out-fighting comments post match, he won’t be able to change his style. More importantly, without the likes of Terry and Snoddy, he won’t be able to regain the dressing room.

When the time comes, I can’t see him resigning. He’ll want the payout.

Never going up under him.  Should have been sacked either after the play-off final or as soon as the new owners came in.  Absolute madness to go into the campaign with, what, one recognised senior CB?  Get him gone.
