Popular Post BOF Posted May 20, 2015 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted May 20, 2015 I think we've signed a genuinely brilliant player. Whether we utilise him properly; or at all; remains to be seen but he's a quality addition to the squad regardless.
lexicon
Be interesting to see how this one pans out. Could definitely be a good signing, could be he goes to pieces again. I'd like to see him playing instead of N'Zogbia, that's for sure.
Ponky
B+ quality footballer for a D grade price = excellent business.
cbr600rr
scores goals.. more of a threat up front than gabby,
YLN
I wouldn't be overly excited about him having gone for £2.5 million. I'm sure Villa had to pay off the rest of his contract to Man City. Sinclair cost just what you imagine a player like Sinclair would cost, not £2.5 million. Edit: Thought he moved there on a free. heid3ster
I was iffy on Scott when news of his loan came through, but he's played well when he had the chance (Swansea game aside, and I understand why he'd want to score against his former team - just hopes he learns from it). For the reported fee it really is a good bit of business. I'm pleased with this news. Welcome Scott.
the_eristic
Solid player, bargain at that price.
Popular Post jjaacckk91
Apparently, my mates dad's mate (yes really) is Kevin Doyle's gardener. With his imminent move to Colorado, Scott is renting his house. He told the gardener that the agreement is he will be signed permanently if we stay up. I know it's sounds like one of those piss take posts but that's really what I've been told. Can I just bring this back to everyone's attention. Unbelieveable itk.

sne
For that price it's a good deal. Up to Tim to fit him into the system now. For me I think his attributes would work better as a replacement/competition for Gabby rather than in the "N'Zogbia role"
Rob182
If only Sherwood liked fullbacks who just defended, we could have a solid left side of Cissokho and Sinclair for less than £5m combined! Anyway, welcome Scott! I too would prefer him in the side over Zog, as I see Sinclair as a consistent 6.5 to 7 out of ten, whereas Zog is an 8 one week and a 4 for the following month.
Dr_Pangloss
I think he's decent, he has good qualities, pacy, good close control and direct, but I also think his end product is a little bit inconsistent. I think his best position would be in N'Zogbia's role, and I hope to see him given a run of games in his place. For the money, I think it's a very good deal for us, and exactly how we should be strengthening the squad, he's much, much better than someone like Andi Weimann. briny_ear
And the good news is I'm here all summer Great news! So (a) who's gonna win the Eurovision Song Contest?; (b ) who's our next signing??

PaulC
Its a good deal but I see him as nothing more than a squad player.
Demitri_C
think this signals the end for weimann and rightly so he has been pants for too long now
BG_Villa_Fan
think this signals the end for weimann and rightly so he has been pants for too long now Weimann as a wide player yeah, but as a striker I rate him as a good squad player.
useless
I thought before he got injured he was playing the best football of his career, if he continues like that it will take someone else doing extremely well to keep him out the first team.
Villanun
At this price this looks like an absolute steal. But if the contract was agreed under Lambert then I am, on principal, against it.
