Supervillan78
I rate Sinclair, he's had a torrid time at City but I still hope a deal can be done.
useless
I read somewhere that he's only played 27 games in three years.
useless
Dave Armitage @davearmitage7 · 8h 8 hours ago Sinclair deal is dead - £4m too much. Try for last minute loan if City can't flog him.

Probably better for us given his lack of first team action, he really needs to prove himself.

lexicon
By all accounts, City need to ship him off more than we really need to buy him so the ball is very much in their court here.
Demitri_C
1.5m extra for city is like 1p silly for them to kill this yeal for 1.5m
Qwpzxjor1
He'll be part of City's homegrown quota, so I doubt they're too desperate. Not sure why city are asking so much money though, they have other homegrown players who are just as likely to make the squad as Sinclair is now (ie. None)
KSV
better go abroad and get someone cheaper. 4 million my arse hole. Gil cost less than that. Edited January 20, 2015 by KSV
Cliffy Biro
Move on Paul, 4m is ridiculous for a player thats average to begin with plus the fact that hes always injured and hasn't played a seasons worth of games in 3 seasons.
Richard
4 M for Sinclair or 4M for Sanchez 4M for Okore 3.4M for Gil 1M for Westwood 2M for Cissokho
jacketspuds
Hopefully Lambert has more than 1.5m available remaining for this window. Not that I want us to sign Sinclair. We could still do with either 2 wingers or a winger and a number 10 in this window. Edited January 20, 2015 by jacketspuds
NeilS
I am very wary of this deal, and wouldn't do it if it was down to me, Sinclair has barely played over the last few years, and has been earning a nice wage for doing very little. This makes me wonder whether he still has the sharpness and ability, as you would expect those things to get worse with the lack of playing time. We have been down the route of buying these squad players from the top teams and hoping to turn them into our stars before with Sidwell, Ireland etc. and it has always failed leaving us picking up large wages which could have been spent better. Also while looking at his record I notice most of his best work was at Championship level, bar one good season at Swansea in the PL. So I question whether that it was a one off season. It is too big a risk for my liking, and would rather look for better value abroad. The only way I would be ok with him coming this window is if it was on loan until the summer, give him a chance to prove himself.
DCJonah
I'd be happy to see him come in on loan or a permenant deal.
AValon
Too much being made of all this. He is'nt all that and if its vfm he's after, Lambert only has to look at Gil to tell him theres better out there. Move on.
PieFacE Posted January 20, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted January 20, 2015 He's worth 4m. 4m is absolutely nothing in football terms. I don't really want to sign him but the fact we can't afford 4m on a player who the manager believes can help the club is pathetic.
Bunnski
I think we are trying to keep the fee low so we can put the extra money we would save towards his wages.
John
Manchester Citeh must need the extra cash so they do not have a problem with FFP. Oh they do not have any problem with FFP do they its everyone else that has to worry about that...
dudevillaisnice
I'd rather have him on loan than a permanent deal. If a loan deal isn't possible I'd rather look elsewhere. I still question whether he has the appetite/motivation for a relegation battle. I said it earlier and still maintain we are just waiting on City to hopefully cave in. ronk-villa
if he had anything about him anymore, surely Swansea would have taken him back as part of the bony deal?
