il_serpente Posted December 21, 2021 VT Supporter Share Posted December 21, 2021 Congratulations, @Davkaus! It's going to be a wild ride, undoubtedly with some challenging moments, but there are plenty of rewards (and mighty big ones!) along the way. Best to you, the baby and the mama! Mine was born at 26 weeks and I'll shit you not it's a very scary time but you get through it as you'll find the neonatal staff to be a great source of strength and help., You and the mom need to be strong for each other as there'll be a roller coaster of emotions. Congratulations again and welcome to fatherhood

Popular Post Davkaus
Thanks everyone. Still feels a bit surreal, she's 9 weeks early, so in a big plastic box in ICU, it feels a bit abstract at the moment, there's a team of professionals looking after her so it's all a bit weird, she's likely to be in there for at least 4-6 weeks until we approach the due date. In other news, one of the midwives on duty had a positive PCR, so I need to order a supply of LFR and present a negative test before being allowed to visit. Not her fault, and the midwife was absolutely devastated, but FFS. Edited December 21, 2021 by Davkaus

Popular Post Davkaus
In my defence, she was medically infertile in we'd not used contraception in a couple of years. I read through the fertility specialist's letter saying (I summarise) that he's happy for us, but has no idea how this pregnancy occured. We've considered drawing him a picture.
