To be fair, Horace is just an FB version of " Villa Report " lol. He just reshares stuff ( without quotes mostly ) possibly in the hope of looking ITK without claiming it. So when it's bollox, he can also say " I'm just sharing " haha. Edited June 3, 2022 by JAMAICAN-VILLAN

The true measure of being ran well is success on the pitch, and given the level of investment we haven't seen that at all. Fair point but are their any examples of teams that have done better since coming back from the Championship. They’ve had to completely rebuild almost twice. foreveryoung
The rumour that McGinn fell out with Beale could be true. It's obvious the way he has played this season McGinn hasn't listened to a word Beale has said. 1

The true measure of being ran well is success on the pitch, and given the level of investment we haven't seen that at all. I agree Doug but continuing to invest is hardly a negative given that every owner we’ve had in the recent and not so recent past now, has pulled the plug after a while. We are coming from a long way behind and although the investment has been huge it has been necessary or get us where we are and hopefully we are getting closer to seeing real progress on the pitch that the investment merits. For the first time in my life I feel we are getting intelligent investment with clear plans and not just chucking money at it and hoping that’s enough. Owners with money and brains is what we have always needed and it appears that finally we have got exactly that. Like you say success is measured by what you do on the pitch not how much you spend. I don’t think money guarantees success but lack of it leaves you with little chance of success. Money spent wisely is the key. NSWE have been here a relatively short period of time, but time is also important. We would all like to see instant success but that’s as unlikely as winning the lottery. The ingredients are all largely there, as Gerrard has said there are no excuses. I don’t think these guys are looking for a quick flash of glory, they’re in it for the long haul, to achieve lasting success. Hopefully to build a dynasty that lasts for a long time.

Critchley played a 4-4-2 36 times and a 4-2-3-1 6 times last season He played Madine and Lavery up front with yates slotting in on occasion Tactically it suggests that he does not play with attacking full backs and prefers the winger system. I hope he is able to switch things around for us this season as that One Formation we played most of last year had us too narrow and clubs just played around us. Someone with knowledge of Blackpool and the Championship will no doubt be able to explain if this was down to him wanting to play that way or if it was down to the formation being best suited to the players he had available. I have zero insight. Edited June 4, 2022 by sne

tinker Posted June 5, 2022 VT Supporter Share Posted June 5, 2022 Be interesting to see how Critchley deals with top level players and how they deal with him. Only having trained with youth and low level players is a risk for us. Would have preferred a more high level experienced coach to mitigate Gerrards lack of experience. 2
