cheltenham_villa Posted September 19, 2023 Share Posted September 19, 2023 i remember being so confused when we signed him, 20m on a player i hadnt really heard of when we had Tom Heaton (solid pro) on the bench. I dont think anyone expected us to be buying a keeper, let alone spending that much on one. Won't get the respect he deserves because he plays for the Villa and had a lackluster World Cup by his standards. Absolutely vital to our standing in the table and will be nearly impossible to replace if he moves on. It's critical for us to win something and stay in Europe this season to keep him next season because if he goes, I have a bad feeling that we will regress and fall out of European contention again.
