  1. their forum is bizarre, really seems a majority on there have convinced themselves relegation is somehow a good thing/opportunity. would be an astounding display of postivity if it weren't so obviously mass psychosis
  2. I don’t think the badges are that bad & im still surprised by the vitriol in the reactions. Hard to tell what the supporter’s opinion of it is, this thread makes it seem quite negative, but for the most part, this thread is the same handful of people posting over and over
  3. Hooo boy this joke never gets old does it… Does it?
  4. Thanks, I’m aware what league we play in. I think you’re underestimating talent elsewhere, but setting that aside, who is going to defend against the better premier league wingers? Moreno, if he’s capable of returning to form of last season, can be effective going forward, but he’s not quick enough, big enough, or strong enough to defend consistently at our level.
  5. For me, Moreno’s defending doesn’t inspire much confidence & seems many are assuming Digne goes, if that’s the case who’s the option matching up defensively against champions league quality wingers?
  6. It’s not that I don’t understand how finances play an outsized role in modern top flight football, it’s that I resent what it does to our perception of players. Digne should be applauded for his play this year, he’s been absolutely crucial & he is our best left back. Instead look in the summer transfer thread and we have numerous supporters again wanting him sold to balance the books. The focus on his wages is primary and his contributions take a back seat. He may well be sold, and if he is it will certainly be down to wages- because it won’t be based on his performances. He deserves our appreciation & respect.
  7. If he can play as effectively as he did yesterday consistently I’d be happy for him to stay. This run in to season end will be huge for him, if he’s not motivated and locked in now, when his future here or elsewhere is on the line, it would be a serious concern.
  8. Don't really want to hear this whole "Moreno has to play because he is our offensive wingback when Konsa is on the right" thing any more, Digne has largely been the better option going forward this year, not to mention being far and away the better defender.
  9. keep being told Moreno plays because of his ability going forward, when? Last year?
  10. It’s not personal, wish him all the best, barring something insane I don’t care one bit what he says in an interview, I just want performances on the pitch. Maybe I expected too much, aside from a handful of moments he hasn’t had positive impact on matches near the extent I hoped for. It’s hard to shake the thought his spot, and all it’s opportunities, could have gone to someone else who would have seized that chance and made substantial contributions in a season where we’re on the verge of something special.
  11. I can’t think of another player who’s made more crucial contributions while at the same time routinely being classed as dead weight or a must sell in transfer threads. No other player is subjected to more constant critical cost/benefit analysis. I think he’s earned more respect than he’s afforded.
  12. Moreno’s defending leaving a lot to be desired
