This is a shame. I’ve always enjoyed your positivity, and I only found this post after searching for you after noticing your posts have dried up. Don't think you can half ass it by putting him on the wing scared of what happens if he makes a mistake at RB. I think giving him half an hour at RB would be a good call if we're winning. useless Posted March 3, 2021 Share Posted March 3, 2021 (edited) Hayden can play on the wing, and not in a can just about do a job in an emergency way, he sometimes gets selected to play there as first choice. Also it's not uncommon for managers to purposely play youngsters out of position when they first break into the first team, the idea being that they can pick up some experience and get used to first team football but in a role that's less likely to be prove costly if they make a mistake, United did with Tuanzebe, Spurs with Onomah and Winks, and Wenger used to do it as well at Arsenal. I think the main idea will be to use him as a right-back, I'm sure that we'll want to see how he looks there before deciding whether he should go out on loan next season, or whether he's good enough to be first choice after Cash but depending on the circumstances wouldn't be surprised to see him come off the bench and get a few minutes on wing.
