I have no idea if this is a legit account and I just stumbled across it but wasn't there someone on here a while back (Maybe years and years ago) called Hairyhands and he was pretty reliable?

Honestly just avoid anyone on Twitter other than John Percy for transfer rumours. There’s always one that will say some bullshit that goes viral and then all the other bullshit itk accounts catch on and new ones are immediately created to regurgitate the same shit.

Mason Mount, Ross Barkley, and Maddison don't play in central midfield for England, they play off the strikers, as they're wingers/no.10 type players, not central midfielders. Grealish could get away with playing central midfield in the championship but not in the premier league, it's just a complete waste of his talent.

We need a bit of pace on the right if jack is to stay on the left!

Which is why I think we tried to get this guy on loan, personally I'd of offered Madrid a fortune for him.

He reminds me of Grealish, he has speed, gets round his opponents, has skill, doesnt five up, draws fouls.

If we had this Kubo in our squad we would cause great problems on both wings to teams and we wouldnt be restricted so much to just playing down the left wing where Grealish is.

As I an TRO were talking about we need players that harass opposition, shut players down quickly and do not stop till the ball is theres and Kubo can do it and hes young also.

Actually my advice for anyone using twitter right now would be this. Search “Watkins” and any itk regurgitating the story we’ve had a £40m bid accepted for both Watkins and Benrahma, block them. That’ll clean up your feed.

I respectfully disagree with this assessment.  Grealish is naturally a central player in the no. 8 or 10 roles.  He was a 8 when he almost single-handedly dragged us up from the Championship, except at that time he had Tammy ahead of him, and (for that level) relatively decent wingers to play off.  The problem last season was that he was our only attacking threat. In the 433 central role he would receive that ball too deep and would have to run the length of the pitch in order to get anything going, but would inevitably get hacked down. When he moved out to left wing he was much more influential as he received the ball in a much more dangerous position higher up the pitch and was able to start moves, win free kicks, create or score goals.

As for England, there's much less competition in the central area.  Who else is there?  Mason Mount, James Maddison, Ross Barkley?  WInks, Henderson and Rice are more defensive players and aren't vying for the same roles as Jack.  On the wings he's competing with Sterling, Rashford, Sancho, Hudson Odoi - all of whom Southgate specifically mentioned as reasons for excluding him last November.

Natural 10 in my opinion. Ideally for him, not sure if we've got the players to do it ourselves, he'd be in a free role behind one or two strikers starting central.

There's no way Grealish will be playing in central midfield for us next season, have no idea why people think he's better in that position, it's the biggest myth going.

Also there's no way that he will get in the England team playing as a central midfielder, that's precisely why he didn't get a call up at the start of the season. Not many teams play with a player in central midfield like Grealish, including England.

The calls for him to be picked for England came after he moved to the left wing, that's when his form and output picked up, he only missed out because he was injured for the next England game.

I would him being in midfield doesn't work if we are defending deep and not having much possession. But opposite is also true in that if we are pressing to opposition back in their own half and controlling the football with decent players in the attacking positions he would cut open defences.

This season gone we generally had less possession, the wide players weren't producing just giving the ball away cheaply so Jack ended having to defend most of the time. The move to the left was essential as he was our our effective creative player so we needed him in advanced positions with the ball at his feet. He basically was our entire attack!

For me his strongest suits are keeping the ball under pressure, winning free kicks and rarely giving the ball away (for an attacking midfielder). Throw in his weight of pass, then and his dribbling ability is becomes the icing on the cake. He is a playmaker and they can affect the game best from the centre of the park.

We need a goalscorer who can link up well, a pacy, direct winger who can finish and an intelligent, skillfull winger, thats a dead ball specialist (the most fouled player needs someone to exploit all those free kicks). We get those 3 in front of him and defences will crumble!

Celtic are being linked to a lot of strikers, apparently tried to sign Toney but had to renegade on the deal because they could only afford to play £1.5m upfront, now there's talk of them signing Kyle Taylor and Steven Fletcher. I think that there's a good chance that Edouard might leave them because they need the money, but it's probably more likely that he'll join someone like Leicester, but that could open up the possibility of us then signing Iheanacho. I've no idea why I bothered write all that out.

His twitter account suggests he's going nowhere.

With Grealish playing central midfield last season we only won one game in ten and he himself didn't score and only provided two assists, not only does playing there nullify his game but it makes us weaker as a team, because it essentially means us only playing with two specialist midfielders, making it easier for the opposition, and this is exacerbated by the fact that we also have McGinn in there who himself is very attack minded as well, having him and Grealish in the middle leaves us very exposed and leaves Luiz with too much to do.

There probably is a way for Grealish to work through the middle, but you'd probably need three specialist midfielders behind him, or at least two defensive midfielders which would then rule out McGinn. But I'm not sure why we'd want to move him from the left, that's where he's been performing as one of the best players in the division and has earned him all the praise he's been getting and links to Man City, Man Utd and so on, doesn't even make sense to want to change his position.
