ROTTERDAM1982
Sky is like the rest of the media, too Londoncentric. DS said we was working on 2 or 3 more signings, i don't see any benefit for him to give out false hope.
MotoMkali
What about Diego rico for lb. He would be a good option to tide us over until we sign a better option. I think he would be relatively cheap but he is an excellent defensive specialist fullback. Averaging a combined 5.5 tackles and interceptions per 90. He also got 4 assists in only 27 appearances and averaged around 40 passes a game even though his accuracy was quite poor. He certainly would improve us defensively. And given his height I would expect him to be able to help us from set pieces as well.
Villan4Life
I've seen him play a few u23 games for Reading last season and he always impressed me. 18 year old Michael Olise. He has been in good form this season for Reading playing in the championship. Very good talent, Arsenal, Wolves & Leeds are all rumoured to be after him. sidcow Posted September 21, 2020 VT Supporter Share Posted September 21, 2020 Anyone else noticed that BBC have covered their backsides now with a change to the final paragraph of the Traore report to: Villa's spending so far this summer could amount to £83m and while manager Dean Smith remains on the look-out for reinforcements the deal for Traore is likely to represent the end of the major deals in this window unless an unforeseen opportunity presents itself. So now they can say that they never said it was the end and any new deals must have been unforeseen. What a bunch of wallies.

What a bunch of wallies. 100% more incoming, just look at our bench today, decent players not included meaning potential outgoings plus its thin, even with Traore to come that's thin. Wouldn't surprise me to see another 3/4 incoming.

OutByEaster? Posted September 21, 2020 Moderator Share Posted September 21, 2020 Looking at today's match squad, you'd think that Samatta and Guilbert are surplus to requirements - which is a real pity in Guilbert's case for me. Given how our bench looks, I reckon we still need a Left back, a Central defender, a central midfielder and Rashica to give us a full squad.

Xela
What about Alfredo Morelos? Lille bidding £20m? Seems to have a bit of an edge about him... ie a bit of a nasty word removed, which we sometimes lack. Worth a punt at that price?
