dudevillaisnice
I thought he was OK. Some poor passes but being honest I hate seeing him play deep. I think he could do well playing further up but Nakamba is injured so…

Exactly. 99% Mings was fault for goal 3
turvontour
Like a lot of our players a lot of good and bad, he has some very classy touches and reads the game well to intercept but can be slow and gives the ball away in dangerous areas.
Popular Post ender4
It’s funny how we all see the game differently, and especially for Luiz performance. For me, I thought he has quite poor compared to other performances from him. Just a little sloppy.

That goal is very very little to do with mings, its mad how people look for him when we concede and ignore everything else Luiz doesn't track his man who gets a free header to score "wheres mings?" Don't assume I have any prejudice against Mings. I don't. I have said my piece. I'd also suggest you look at Konsa immediately blaming Mings for the goal and Mings not defending himself. Which says a lot to me.

Spoony
I didn’t think he was that bad today but just McGinn and Luiz in the middle just offers nothing.
Mazrim
During our period of dominance in the 2nd half Luiz was picking up all the loose ends and driving us on. The nearest thing to composed on either side. I was watching with fans of other clubs and they thought Luiz was the best player on the pitch. McGinn is very erratic. I love the guy but he'll do 3 great things followed by 3 absolute shit things. Very frustrating
Zatman
Started slowly but then was probably best midfielder on the pitch. Once he got control Bruno did very little
meregreen
Lost possession on numerous occasions. He can be very careless.
WallisFrizz
I’m starting to care less whether he signs the contract, when he’s good he’s excellent but can be poor. There’s got to be more consistent midfielders out there.

Very frustrating Generally McGinn is the most risk-taking central midfielder we have, though, so he's much more likely to mess things up at times. Normally, those shit things are higher up the pitch where we don't have quite the same urgency in getting back. Luiz is typically more composed, deeper, breaking up play and passing the ball around. But when he loses possession (which is does when doing daft things, IMO) we're immediately in trouble.
CVByrne
I think we need to see Luiz in one of the 8 roles week in week out and a new CDM in for the no6.

I thought he had one of his better games last night and we bossed the midfield for large parts of the game and he was integral to that. Mazrim
I think the guy is class but want to see him just in front of or alongside a dedicated CDM. I think we'd really see his quality more regularly then. 1

Yeah he is. Still a few rough edges but you'd expect that. Some of that give and go stuff in the 2nd half ran United ragged. Very encouraging. He'll enjoy linking up with Coutinho too. Indigo
Probably worth noting that not a single player on the pitch had more tackles + interceptions than him last night.

avfc1982am
I think he's a natural 8 and not a 6. Unless he is given more licence to play box to box I don't see us getting the best from him. I think he has more to offer in the final third and we aren't tapping into it.
