Popular Post Woody1000 Posted August 14, 2021 Popular Post Share Posted August 14, 2021 I hit a point in the 19/20 season where I felt that Dean was out of his depth, and that if he remained as manager that we would be relegated. People can debate about the goal line tech failure, and the break in the season for the first lockdown, but ultimately he turned things around. The start to last season showed what we were capable of under DS, Covid and injuries unfortunately derailed our season a bit but it should show all of us that Dean is able to beat the big teams, and he can get us doing it with style. He is someone who we as fans can be truly proud of, both as a manager and as a man, and we have to remember to keep supporting him when we go through tough spells this season as we inevitably will. 5 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Hopefully we can at least bring in a CDM to shore up the defence. If our front line matched our back line, we should be walking into Europe. Our forward line will press from the front and cut off supply lines to opposition attacks. The way Brentford played last night is how Dean Smith's Brentford and Walsall used to play. Targett having a nightmare but you surely do something about it if you see him struggling after 15 minutes? There's no way a Tuchel or Guardiola would just wait until half time to do something about it because as we've seen we concede another and getting something out of the game gets very difficult. It's those little things, he just differs too much when we're in a difficult situation in the game. Let's see how long in the second half before we make some changes. If I'm honest, I'm a little worried for him, it's a real test now, no Jack to get him out the shite. The board will have a new manager in like the Ings transfer if he don't show some coaching qualities.
