Seems crazy that people in USA and china an watch this game live on fox and bein sports and get those in England can't see it - pay per view should be an option in this day and age for those unable to get to the game for whatever reason

Pay per view was tried before with 'PremPlus' and was an abject failure. The future should be subscription services which give you more control over what you watch, kind of like a Netflix for football. DAZN is a step in the right direction but obviously won't be able to do this for English football in the UK where Sky very much have a stronghold.

SUbscription services showing what you want to watch is in effect pay to view .

clubs should be able to stream matches at a cost even it  means  offering season tickets to view - not all of us can attend games for various reasons

It's not, it's a different business model - paying a regular (e.g. monthly) subscription is not the same as paying for a one off event/ match.

Loved it when he gave that bloke a hug (someone who is obviously old school and not used to male contact). He has so much passion for this club.

What's this then?

At half time he came onto the pitch and presented a season ticket to someone who has been going to the villa for 70 odd years. Tony being the man he is gave the bloke a hug. The old geezer didn't know what to do with himself.

The polite response would have been to reach down and check the firmness of the good Doctor's buns and whisper the evaluation into his ear.

Quite right too, none of this new man, bloke hugging how's your father. It's bad enough with the players hugging and kissing when they score. Although we seem to have managed to cut that down considerably over the last few seasons.........

Didn't he give the man a golden season ticket or something? I thought it was a season ticket for life.

If Tony gives me that then he can give me the magic finger treatment for all I care.

Smart marketing, giving a 70/80 year old a man a season ticket thinking he doesn't have long to go.

Plot twist, he lives to be 147.
