If Nottingham get promoted, surely we should be pushing for a figure not too far off from that for a younger Keinan Davis. Edit: I should add, strikers are traditionally more expensive too. Popular Post Spoony Posted March 13, 2022 Popular Post Share Posted March 13, 2022 Before we all get too carried away with the prospect of Archer and Davis back, let’s bear in mind they’re both in the Championship, we went to be looking at top 8 premier league and Davis has never really fired for Villa. I’m super happy for Davis and I’m really please he’s hitting his stride and loves it there. We need to move him on though. Forest are a fantastic club so a great move for him, and I’d probably want something in the region of £10-15m given the good comparisons people have drawn to Mings although Forest and Villa are in very different places financially and Bournemouth knew that. Mings was a bit of a unique case I think. At the time we all thought £20m was utter insanity but we had the money and Villa + Mings just clicked and we needed the least disruption possible to stay up. He's enjoying playing regularly too much to want to be a bench player again. Also think the fee will be modest. If Forest don't go up, I think we'd sell for around 10mil, add another 5 on that if they go up. See the Targett affair, we don't do pushing for big money if the player wants to leave. I wasn’t even sure if he was Championship standard when he was with us. Fair play to him. I would still maintain though that if we have real aspirations of breaking into the top six, than Davis shouldn’t be part of our squad going forward. Delphinho123 Posted March 13, 2022 Share Posted March 13, 2022 He’s an absolute beast of a striker in that division. Any side that can afford to buy him permanently could do a lot worse. I think he’ll end up being promoted with Forest this season. I really fancy them to make the playoffs and take their form into them. I’d like to see them back in the Prem. They’re a great club. Is there many other strikers that could potentially bring what Davis brings next season.
