Probably. But I can't see her giving away £300 of horse tack. Gauging by what I've seen so far, people on these places are generally morons. I couldn't be arsed with the hassle of it and them and i'd most likely be banned instantly for telling people to **** off. VILLAMARV
I've seen quite a few people trimming hedges this week. None of them, even the ones blatantly doing it for money, has used any tarpaulins on the floor to catch the trimmings. I'm watching a guy feverishly sweeping the street tonight in this heat. Tarps save a lot of time and effort.

I'll trim two hedges and clean up in the time it takes to do one hedge messing around with a tarp. If the hedge is directly on top of stones then ill use a tarp other than cut and clean and I'm pretty good at it apparently.... One customer I have was amazed that me, on my own, can do her whole perimeter in a few hours where she used to have 2 people take a day and a half. Used to think I should invest in a leaf blower but £10 of tarps does the trick for me. Admittedly, if theres a fence in the way or space is limited then tarps can be unpractical but whether i lift them up and pour the contents into a large garden waste container or just tie them corner to corner and haul them up the recycling centre or down to someone's compost it saves a lot of time/effort/money imo compared to 2 person teams one with a trimmer and one with a broom, which is waht I was seeing yesterday. In 3 hours last night they did less than half a hedge, I'd estimate 8 - 10 m long. It's very nice. the top is rounded nicely. I'm glad I'm not paying. chrisp65
It’s a very technical subject, hedge clipping removal methodologies. I’ve got 4 different scenarios out the back garden: 1: base of hedge is lawn - I let the cuttings fall on the lawn, rake them up no bother 2: base of hedge is smooth pavers - I let the cuttings fall on the pavers and sweep them up no bother 3: base of hedge is a sort of lumpy bumpy weirdly grippy concrete - absolute bastard of a surface to sweep leaves off - has to be a tarp 4: base of hedge is pebbles absolutely not collected 1 pebble per day off the beach during covid lockdown - by mad chance I have a plastic tray from a garden centre that’s about 2 metres long, I put that over the pebbles to catch the clippings

Yes what you want to pay for definitely comes into. I have a handful of nice hedges, one in particular on the edge of a pool which is a pain in the ass... More care is taken with these. But the majority of people here just want their overgrown whatever is cut back cos they haven't bothered too for too long. So not a fine clean up wanted/needed on these..... Cut back rake up 97% the rest is on them or becomes mulch where it is.

We dont have a hedge, but surely one of those electric hedge cutters would make short work of hedge cutting ?

That’s why I don’t get the excitement level when a shirt is designed which most people like. It’s going be around for one season. And if we have a bad season, the otherwise beautiful, albeit equally short term, kit will forever have negative associations. That red/green/black shirt from the mid 90’s is objectively terrible. But I think fondly of it because of the league cup win.

Its just a shirt that changes every 12 months. Some will be better than others. Funnily enough, some of our less conventional kits are the most memorable - the Hummel 88/89 shirt, the Muller yogurt striped one we won the league cup in 94, the stripey 2000 FA Cup final shirt and the recent promotion one. mjmooney Posted June 22, 2023 VT Supporter Share Posted June 22, 2023 All part of 'the game's gone' for me. I realise it's a commercial thing, but I'd be quite happy if the kit was just claret body, blue sleeves, white shorts, NO sponsors - and didn't change. Ever.
