Keyblade
Pretty sure he won a footrace to the ball with Kevin Mirallas the other day, so he's definitely no slouch.
StefanAVFC
Has been great for weeks now. Hope he keeps it up.

Villarocker
He wants to go to Brazil so has to play well. Having said that, I always thought Vlaar looked a decent player. Maybe his injury problems hindered him more than we thought last season.
AVTuco Posted November 9, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted November 9, 2013 He is so good and yet in such a quiet way that I don't know what to write. Keep it up Ron! Captain.

sne
Solid again. great to see. We need a good defence now that the midfield is woeful and the forwards are not firing on a regular basis
Dodgyknees
Playing really well and growing into a great captain too.

Panto_Villan
I've always liked Vlaar and think he's been in good form lately, so I'm glad to read he put in another good performance today.
ozvillafan Posted November 9, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted November 9, 2013 He has been helped greatly by the additions of Bacuna and Luna, a year's PL experience and the maturing of Clarke and Baker. He's able just to play his game rather than babysit or worry - and his game is actually quite good!
Morpheus
Now having the same calming influence on us as Petrov use to do but obviously from a different position. More dominant in the air as well and one of the main reasons why we're so much more solid in defence. Just hope he can stay fit?

Maybe his injury problems hindered him more than we thought last season. His injury problems hindered him somewhat to be sure, but I also thought when he played last year he didn't look very confident in his teammates, particularly his fellows in the back line. This season, as they have improved, he has improved. He is freed up to play his game his own way and doesn't have to constantly look over his shoulder and babysit. Ron's looking great this year, just the guy we've needed him to be. Really pleased with him.
Cizzler
Had a really good start to the season. He was such a big loss over the Christmas period last season. Hopefully he can stay fit. His experience and communication is crucial to our improved defence.
JoshVilla
Definitely up there as one of the most improved players this season. Looks a lot more comfortable and has turned out to be a hell of a lot quicker than I thought. 4 clean sheets this season isn't bad at all so credit to Ron and the other lads at the back for stepping it up.
Robbie09
He's now adapted to the premier league and looks far more comfortable now. Fingers crossed he stays injury free for the remainder of the season.

VillaGoMarching
I've given him some right stick, right up until the Newcastle defeat. But steadily his form has picked up this season.Keep it up Ron.
poitier
I thought he brought the ball out of defence well in the Cardiff game, which makes a nice change to passing it back to Guzan to hoof up.
