bobzy
Damn - as much as he's probably not completely vital for us, he's certainly the kind of player we need to stay fit. Hope he recovers quickly. **** fantastic pre-season "friendly", eh?
NeilS
Get well soon Jack, this was an important season for him in my opinion and he has just been dealt a major blow. He will now be starting on the back foot, but hopefully he will come back strongly and aid a puish for automatic promotion. Sometimes It does seem that if we didn't suffer bad luck, we would have no luck at all.

tismyk
F-cks sake, Aston Villa star Jack Grealish could be out until Christmas as he undergoes surgery on serious kidney damage Jack Grealish suffered the freak accident in a collision with Tom Cleverley The 21-year-old is still recovering in hospital after undergoing kidney surgery Steve Bruce admits Grealish is still 'poorly' and faces a long spell on the sidelines Aston Villa news: All the latest from Villa Park By Laurie Whitwell for MailOnline Published: 17:13, 1 August 2017 | Updated: 18:28, 1 August 2017 Steve Bruce fears Jack Grealish could be out until Christmas as the full extent of the Aston Villa playmaker’s freak injury emerges. Grealish suffered a serious kidney injury after landing on top of Tom Cleverley during Saturday's friendly against Watford and required surgery to rectify the problem. The 21-year-old is still recovering in hospital with no discharge date yet decided and Bruce sounded a bleak prognosis having visited his player on Monday. Jack Grealish could be out until Christmas after undergoing surgery on his kidney injury The 21-year-old suffered the freak injury after colliding with Watford star Tom Cleverley Grealish’s father Kevin said his son would be out for at least two to three months in a Facebook post but the Villa manager is not optimistic due to the nature of the injury. ‘It could be much longer,’ said Bruce. ‘He's poorly at the minute. I went to see him in hospital. Things aren’t great. We hope that he has a speedy recovery, of course.’ Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4750688/Aston-Villa-star-Jack-Grealish-Christmas.html#ixzz4oWiw2gXx

DCJonah
Really gutted. His development in these key years has really been **** over with a mixture of being at a terrible club (Lerner's last couple of years) his own stupid behaviour and now a complete freak injury. Was really looking forward to seeing him as a key player and his shirt number and comments from Bruce seemed to indicate we'd start to see him in his best position. JAMAICAN-VILLAN
Wonder if he is destined to be one of those "Wilshere/Sturridge" type players. Injured most of there careers but make a big impact and get better each time they come back. That may mean I am grossly overrating (I don't) Jack but I dunno. We simply can't be so unlucky. YLN
Post op. Bleak prognosis. I'm sorry but I'm afraid you mother has suffered a bleed to her kidney and although we did all we could in the operating theatre, sadly the prognosis is quite bleak. She won't be able to play premier league football until maybe Christmas

He gets booted around the pitch more than most and usually gets up and gets on with it. Of course criticism is fair when it's due but I wish we'd collectively support the lad a little more.
