Tayls Posted January 9, 2022 Share Posted January 9, 2022 It’s hard to pick out a player that will enhance our play so much, but Bissouma is a player we NEED. We have been crying out for someone that does what he can for many years at this point. Of course, the stumbling block now is that the accusations that have been made are quite serious, otherwise I think there would be a bidding war for his services in this window and Brighton wouldn’t have been able to keep hold of him. For what it is worth, I really don’t think we are in a position to take a £35-50million punt on a player who may well end up serving time, in one way or another. As for Bissouma himself, I think he is a terrific player and one that would make a massive difference to our side. Almost the missing piece of the puzzle. Don't imagine Bissouma will want less if he gets a move. The fee for Kamara is supposed to be around £10m which is a whole less than Bissouma would cost. They are pretty different type of players. Kamara is the type of 6 some have been hoping for and can also play CB in a pinch although he mostly did that earlier in his career not so much now. Bissouma is much more of a 6/8 mix who's not a sitting player working deep in front of the CB's. Or at least that's not where you get the most out of his attributes as a player IMO.
