Bloody hate Zaha.

(unless he played for us).

Edit - Oh crap, just realised he's 28! Guy needs to move.

Zaha wouldn't move to us given the abuse he got before the game last year.

Also think he's the sort who'd upset the dressing room like Collymore did all those years ago as he wouldn't like not being number 1 here while Grealish remains.

Definitely a bad apple, Deano wouldn't even contemplate signing him.

Eze scored a deflection just after an impressive long run, he could have laid it off to the misery but went for it, Zaha zero celebration and looked the other way then started a very slow stroll back up the pitch.

Yes our scouting in the future needs to pick up bargains. But if we want to keep jack we can the cheapskates. And my other posts have been about how once we purchase 2-3 World class players to massively boost our first XI we should then use whatever funds we get from selling players to invest in young players as depth.

And the players I'm suggesting aren't multiclub players except for bissouma and Zakaria and even then they were bought as 19-20 year olds to one of the top 5 leagues from one of the lower divisions.

Bissouma is another example though

Brighton got him for around £12 and now we're all saying let's go get him for £30m+

Why don't we go find the next Bissouma instead...

I saw Pirlo had questioned his professionalism today. Weight issues. Something they have had to work on.

I've heard conflicting reports about his weight. He's always had some meat on his bones but has spoken in interviews about how he's consulted with physios and trainers who've determined that he performs better at a certain weight than when he goes below it. Perhaps it's a bit of a delicate balance. But I certainly can't fault his effort on the pitch, where he'll chase a player fifty yards to make a tackle.

I can't speak to Pirlo's comment, though. He obviously knows more than I do. Maybe he's trying to motivate him. Maybe he's genuinely being critical.

Bellingham. Sancho. Pulisic. Son. Sterling. Just some of the suggestions people have thrown out the past 12 months off the top of my head.

It is crazy.

3 of those players would be upwards of £90m. One cries all the time and the other is a bluenose who only just joined Dortmund.

The other crucial thing is that none of them would want to join us at the moment.

I just read the article. Pirlo said McKennie has become more professional — that they'd had to work on his weight when he arrived and how he's made improvements to address that.

Maybe they meant this Pulisic...

Because a few people have made comments on people being mad I won't quote a single person....

If someone says oh yea sign Son they are clearly off their rocker (I haven't seen that).

All I am saying is we can afford to sign 50 million pound players now due to the investment from our owners, whether they will come on not is a different matter, someone might come from Sociadad but they almost certainly wouldn't from Barcelona for example.
If we can afford them we should try. Simple as that, if we fail on the first target go to the second and so on.

I don’t think we can afford their wages mate

I'm certainly not saying that.

I think he's very overrated here to be honest. We need a specialist CDM and CAM and Bissouma is neither. A tidy box to box player  but we pretty much have that already.

I reckon Grealish, if he does play there, and Carney can lock down CAM for years so CDM ideally. A bloody good one.

After having a read of some of the comments in the West Brom forum, I would really go swoop for Costa Pereira for as cheap as possible. They really do not want us to have the lad at all costs, they say they would rather him go to Everton or abroad than us.

This one made me laugh:

Seals think they can get him for £24 million after they sell Gitlish to one of Big boys for North of £80 million, dream on knobheads.

Has frustration running through him these days, easy gets ruled up just like Benteke.

It's hard to do and right now we can't risk it if we want to compete with Jack. We don't have the luxury of a slow and steady build. Each year we aren't competing is another year where Jack may decide to leave us.

Don't think anyone has actually suggested them though.

That's easy. Just get Kamara from Rangers. Sadly I think he might cost the same.

What about Brekalo from Wolfsburg? I feel he might've been mentioned on here before.

22, regular starter for Croatia and left winger for Wolfsburg who are close to making top 4 now. Two years left on his deal.

Feels like the sort who could push us up the league a bit more. Scored a hat-trick for them today so 7 goals in Bundesliga.

Edit: Just had a loook and seems a few were looking last summer when there was talk he was going to Napoli.

Then you move on to the next..... the deal works financially or it doesn't, the player is willing or he isn't.

As a side note I also don't want massive wages handed out unless it is very warranted on a few players in your squad. It kills future transfer budgets.

More than that I think it kills our current structure

Targett has just had a pay rise but before that he was supposed to be on £35k a week, probably won't be a whole lot more now, same with cash, konsa etc we will have relatively low paid first teamers

Coutinho was suggested a few weeks back and yeah on paper he'll probably be sold this summer and it'll be for a loss and realistically mid table PL is about as good as he'll get so it not a stretch for us but not completely mad... Apart from his £200k a week wages... Any chance we might have is dead straight away

Red rag to an agent
